Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Some appalling misses.

Just not got going at all. Dublin looking very comfortable out there.

    Some point from Loftus.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,333 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

A miracle needed early in the second half to get us into contention.

2 absolutely shocking misses from Aidan, you can't get away with that against Dublin. Some shocking shooting in general.

Tommy C, Ryan O'D and Eoghan McL have a lot of learning to do in big games.

It's a huge ask with all the injuries but we need to horanball like never before.

Dubs can park the bus now. Can't lose if they don't concede a goal

I think Aidan might be finished at All Ireland level.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,715 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Dublin coming back to the pack....what a load of ballix that was :-(

Mayo have been poor but I don't think any team could keep pace with them tbh. It's sterile, clinical and horrible to watch but very effective unfortunately.

If by some miracle Mayo manage to drag themselves back into it, Dublin will empty the bench and move through the gears

Time for Darren Coen and long range points...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

Off the ground in front of Lane and he misses it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

Such horrible brain-dead football, no composure when it's needed.

No player in any sport likes being taken off so wouldn't look too much into it.

    Delighted Mayo won that game.

Awful 'efforts' of tackling on display by Dublin on several occasions.

Good for the game of football for Dublin to lose, they lost their cool completly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,796 ✭✭✭Ken Tucky

Please go and win it lads.

    Y'all deserve it.

It was on the cards for Dublin based on the last few games.

Pleased it was not Kerry that beat Dublin.

Pleased it was Mayo. I hope they beat the sh!te out of Kerry!

Just **** win it now lads!!

Well deserved and I'd imagine every Dub will be rooting for you in the final. What a rivalry, lots of great games and harsh words, but lots of respect. Go on now and win the thing. You deserve it and enjoy the pints!!

Delighted for Mayo- played them at their own game in extra time and they didn’t like it and lost the heads. Fantastic win- hope ye go in and win it now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,489 ✭✭✭PCeeeee

Congrats Mayo from a neighbour from Galway. Dug it out today big time. On ye go now and put it to bed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 487 ✭✭Jim Root

Delighted for that group of players. Well done.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,267 ✭✭✭threeball

Congrats on a well deserved win. Its fitting that after all the results that went against ye over the years that ye were the ones to finish off this team of professionals and their tainted all irelands. And it couldn't have been a sweeter way to win it, watching them implode simultaneously was the cherry on top.

Hope ye can see it out now.

    That's about Dublin pace

Best win ever from Mayo. Horan has to be up there with the best managers. Delighted for the Mayos everywhere . From a proud Galway man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,196 ✭✭✭PressRun

Jeepers. Heart is still racing. Will give more thoughts tomorrow, but all I'll say for now is that O'Hora put in one of the finest shifts I've seen from a Mayo player in Croke Park. And Conor Lane should never referee at this level ever again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,313 ✭✭✭TITANIUM.

Congratulations Mayo, a mighty comeback when everything seemed to be going wrong. Big credit must go to Horan and his team to take off a misfiring captain in AOS. Big call and his others changes worked well also.

It was disappointing to see allot of the great dublin players were all so used to, resort to that kind of behaviour. Kinda sullies allot of reputations. There persistence with the Keep ball Gavin tactics looks like it's holding them back to be honest. They should be building bigger leads when there on top instead of wasting time for a point. Plus it's terrible to watch and negative for the game in general.

But the Day belongs to Mayo, enjoy the weekend lads and hopefully we'll see ye in the final, whether we get to play tyrone or not. Let's hope for a exciting final but moreover a good game of football now that the basketball stuff has been put to bed.

Great win for Mayo, Dublin not hungry for the 7th it seemed. Awful at times were Dublin and very lucky keeping some players on the pitch.
