I'm surprised no angry ex-employees didn't release the training manual in to the public domain, I'd love to see all the trigger wurds and phrases, some are likely comical.

The butterfly in Joe's head is banging its tin mug against the bars.

Cards on the table, the first 5 years of my career was in support. In both junior management and as a support agent. That was 20+ years ago. I wasn't in Eir, but ALL providers give poor support.

"We'll send an engineer to the house". I've met some of those engineers. Some of them failed construction studies at Junior cert, and somehow got a job as a Telecoms engineer.

Joe: Did you ask to speak to a supervisor?

That does nothing, because for 2 years I was the supervisor, and the supervisor is giving help and solutions to the support agent constantly. Asking for a supervisor just reduces the amount of help the supervisor can give to other people. Stop telling people to ask for a supervisor!

He pays a quarter of the bill 4 times and pays the same amount if he just paid it in one chunk…minus the cost and time of driving down to the Post Office that would test your jaysus patience every single visit.

they will claim the you are not panelized for the paper bill, but rather get a discount for the digital bill and direct debit

Liveline gets lots of bad lines as well. Usually when a caller has a sensible solution to a Liveline mountain out of a molehill or an opinion different to Joe.

But if his pension comes in weekly, it's easier to do it weekly.

In 2024, it's not impossible to allow weekly payments online or direct debit, but the companies have ancient, legacy systems that can't do it.

I feel dirty, but I've not had any issues with eir,

But I'd only sign up for a year at a time, even though a 2year deal was better value

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,708 ✭✭✭NeinNeinNein

Joe fascinated with the colour of the paper 😄

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,457 ✭✭✭avfc1874

Either Joe is slow,or he doesn't know when to stop with the stupid puns

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,488 ✭✭✭LambshankRedemption

The measure of a company is not how they manage when things are fine. It's how they manage when things go wrong.

    Ann sounds very 'cast down'.

She might be worth mining for other misery, I'd imagine Joe is thinking to himself right now
