I've been watching this for a while now I've loads of pages (tabs) open in chrome and was going to agree with you but turns out is was youtube using over 800MB. No other page showing more than 200MB usage, most much less. Only way I can see what page is related to the Windows Task Manager Details is to kill the process and see what dies.

Wake me up when it's all over.

what browser? with chrome you can hover over a tab and it will display the memory used by that tab.

OK, never knew that. Currently 6 tabs open. Home page 198MB, and down to this page with is 106MB.

Site was down for me for 20 minutes.

    Maintenance

Please wait a few minutes and try again

    Why am I seeing this?

We're hard at work making changes to our service and will be back soon. Please check back in a few minutes, or visit our Service Status for more information.

Do Vanilla have any explanation for these frequent outages?

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I have just received an email from Vanilla's Forums Incident Team.

"Vanilla is currently experiencing a global issue that's affecting the performance of all sites. Yours is not the only site affected. We are investigating the issue."

    From Vanilla,

"Incident resolved! An issue with failed hardware has affected many of our communities. We have migrated affected sites to new hardware and functionality has been restored".

Does that mean "break it" Thursday has gone for good or just this Thursday is fixed?

+1 @HeidiHeidi your IP address is on that.

    GATEWAY TIME-OUT

The web server reported a gateway time-out error.

    What happened?

The initial connection between Cloudflare's network and Vanilla timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.

Gateway timeout London this time. Just in time for the long weekend. So much for a fix.

Looks like the "fix" is messing up pages again.

All my Bookmarks are marked as Unread, when in fact most have been opened. In fact, when I go into a forum, everything is marked as unread.

Blue headers back again. The site stability is a disgrace. Your support is a disgrace. The few die hards that remain will finally say their goodbyes if this keeps up.

As I said a page or two back (or maybe in the bugs thread) this is the default theme that Vanilla comes with. Look back at the first pages of this thread and it'll all sound familiar.

Once again, whatever update or fix they've applied has broken the subsequent customisation that's layered on top of this to give us the "normal" layout.

It'll be like this until they reapply that customisation and it'll keep happening every time a fix/patch/update breaks something.

Remember though... it was unsustainable custiomisation and problems with updates that was part of the reason given for migrating to this mess in the first place!

On desk top the Boards logo title bar has gone back to being half hidden by the category bar.

I really hope that Vanilla is really, really, really cheap - cos otherwise you're getting badly done.
