VAT & Customs Purchases 1st July

We received 3 parcels from Ebay (China) and An Post sent us an invoice for VAT/Postage, what we paid.

But after the payment, we never got the postage delivered.

Today we sent an email to ecommchargequery@anpost.ie

" Ladies and Gentlemen,

it is the third time, that we paid custom charges and postage fees to An Post.

A copy of the payment is attached. The tracking number of the Chinese postal service showed, that the parcel arrived in Ireland.

The proof that An Post got the parcel is documented by sending us the invoice for VAT/Postage.

We paid, but never got the parcel … and this happened the third time.

An Post seems to collect VAT/Duty and the own € 3.50 for postage and dumping the parcels afterwards.

We are an IT company and we will launch a website next month to highlight this practice from An Post and create a platform

for all people and companies screwed up by An Post Custom Service. 

We hope...... that will wake them up

DO set up that website to show up An Post. I got this money-making racket demand last month.

Got a replacement pocket clip for a Surefire torch. Sent as a courtesy by Surefire, value about 5 US cents.

Customs Ireland declares ZERO value. so no duty is due. An Post, 3.50 "Administration fee" and VAT on top of their administration fee. Total 7.50 euros for a 5 cent bit of metal.

An Post an utter Highway robbery organisation.🤬😡
