Ford Mondeo 2014 - clutch replacement query

Hi, I have a 2014 ford Mondeo import from UK, owned a couple if years ... 1.6 TDCI ZETEC BUS ED E ECO SS 115PS 5DR is the model.

The flight wheel needs replacing and all advice received is to replace the full clutch.

My regular mechanic has sourced two brands of clutch through the motor factors (Sachs and LUK) but is reluctant to say either will fit 100% as he had a similar scenario previously and got burned.

I've rung ford, who said to talk to the local ford garage. The local for garage refused to give any advice but did quote for the replacement ...which was a lot more expensive.

I need advice here if anyone has technical knowledge ... On what clutch I should use... Or what the recommended clutch is to use.

    Thanks
    B

That's a link to a full clutch replacement with flywheel and pressure plate, he uses LUK flywheel and I'm pretty sure the same brand for the clutch, its a mk4 aswell although not 2014 so don't know if anything would have changed between middle and end of that era of mondeo, mk4 is 2007-2014

LUK, iirc, is the OEM brand, but i've read many articles that advise Sachs due to better wear, equipment (has all necessary parts/bits so no need to buy "addtional" parts) and possibly quality. However LUK is one of the leading brands so either way you're not going to be buying "cheap".

Haven't had to do mine yet so i can only go on what i've read. If my time comes i'll be going with Sachs. I use their parts for most of my replacement parts (where applicable) and have never had an issue with them.

Yours is the mk 4.5 or facelift, and i stand to be corrected by someone with more knowledge (shouldn't be hard) the changes were mostly branding and cosmetic so the "nuts and bolt" should be the same, essentially.
