Basically it's a rorschach test again.

    WARIO vs BEATS headphones logo.

I vote Okayama because its very striking and also,g'wan Wexford .

    A little more decisive here.

    Okayama advances to Round 2

    Match 13

    Niigata

Ooh, Niigata is cool. Red and yellow work well, and the double circles are different.

    Niigata

I like the yellow and red together.

I don't like the other one at all.

Niigata - cool colour choice with a unique design

Kagawa - I like the green and the image (whatever it is!), whereas the other looks too much like China.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭ari101

Niigata more complexity without distracting. I do like the green on the other one but it isn't as strong overall

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,509 ✭✭✭Purgative

Niigata the red and yellow works well and its different from the prefectures flags.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,138 ✭✭✭Uncharted

On an initial glance, it looks like a team China vs team Saudi Arabia event.

Both horrible tbh, but I'll vote for the red and yellow ( Niigata )flag simply because the other one looks like Fido Dido ( 7up ) split in half after a samurai sword fight.

    Niigata. One of my favourites.

The circle "spelling" looks so cool. Crazy Japanese people

    Kagawa

Niigata as the red is more striking

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

    A hammering (and sickling).

    Niigata advances to Round 2

    Match 14

    Ibaraki

    vs

    Shizuoka

Shizuoka - really like the orange and white on blue

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,714 ✭✭✭✭Earthhorse

    Ibaraki, I guess.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,272 ✭✭✭Barna77

    Shizuoka
Same colours as the famous Marshall Islands :D

(I do like the rose too)

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,509 ✭✭✭Purgative

Both decent. I like the orange on blue - Shizuoka

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭ari101

    Really tough...

Shizuoka - I love the spiral on the other one but the colour is not as nice. I also discovered I was half right about the dolphin meets volcano. It is a map of the prefecture meets Mt. Fuji :)

Shizuoka - I like the symbol, whatever it is. And the symbol on the other one I'm less keen on due to the "off centredness" of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,138 ✭✭✭Uncharted

Uncharacteristically lazy design on both by Japanese standards.

Basically we have the @ symbol vs half a goldfish.

    Tut tut Japan.

Im voting for the goldfish ( Shizuoka) , just out of sympathy

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,777 ✭✭✭KathleenGrant

Sjizuoka I like the colours better.

  • Registered Users Posts: 85,919 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

    Shizuoka for the orange colour

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Dominant showing from the prefecture that brought us Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha.

    Shizuoka advances to Round 2

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

We have only two matches left in Round 1 and they'll take place tomorrow at lunchtime. As always, I'll give prior notice before the bouts are posted. Good night from me and mind yourself!
