    Quito is the highest elevation of any capital city in the world at 2800m above sea level (La Paz, Bolivia is higher, but is de facto capital, not official or de jure)

    Cote d'Ivoire is the world's leading producer of chocolate with 43% coming from here.

    Reykjavik is the northernmost capital city in the world. Iceland is, geologically, one of the youngest countries in the world, and is growing all the time - the island of Surtsey was created by volcano as recently as 1963.

    I have to say that I didn't know that. I knew Abidjan, but I couldn't remember what the capital was when I was submitting my answers. Had I remembered that's what I would have gone for too, but when I saw the answer I was surprised it was somewhere I'd never heard of.

    I was due to fly to Quito, on the way to the Galapagos, to sail from there to French Polynesia, last March - and then lockdown happened :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
