    Extendable dog leads.

Not the leads themselves - it's really the dog owners who operate them that annoy me.

My left foot has been on the verge of cramping ALL day and it's going to be that horrible one where it feels like two of your toes have crossed. Can pretty much guarantee it'll happen just as I'm about to drop off to sleep tonight too.

Booked a spa weekend in Galway as a treat. Looking forward to my massage only to be told the only slot left available is at 11.15am on the Friday I check in. I'm driving from Belfast and it takes 4 hours. So to get to my massage on time I'll have to leave the house at 6.30am. What the actual ****. Not relaxing at all.

People who use the words "Pupper" and "Doggo" for a dog.

    😫

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,922 ✭✭✭spookwoman

add furbaby, my homan and other variations. People who use those words or terms sound f*cking idiotic.

Closely followed by those who say 'my lil man' or 'my lil girl' about their child. Little, the word is LITTLE.

I also hate the use of 'I wanna' and 'I'm gonna'. Ugh.

People who post pictures of their lil angles after their meal, some usually orange coloured food spread absolutely everywhere and thinking it's anything but disgusting. I don't want to be seeing that! May have said this before too...

Fitness class earlier... despite there being strong numbers attending we are down to one single trainer, who is admittedly very good, excellent in fact.

The company are opening new locations throughout the city and beyond and all the experienced folks / trainers seem to be focused on these locations if the company social media is to go by...

never mind that us , the original clients at the original location would have in part financed the ability of this company to expand... but now we appear to be an afterthought in the whole process.. Frustrating.

I've decided I'm going to get a kitten , but I'm not sure what I need to do re vaccinations etc. Any cats I've had were farm cats who were feral . Any tips for a house cat ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,828 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

My parents bought a used Focus from a Ford dealer. Came with warranty which was good as within a week the cat was giving out, the horn stopped working and the fancy pointless door protectors that were on it when they bought it but disappeared before collection still hadn't arrived. But anyway, handed it in yesterday morning and they had told my parents that the replacement car for the couple of days would be as close to possible as what they have, as anything fancy would have been complicated.

So the Ford dealer, to temporarily replace the Ford Focus, gave my parents a.........

Nissan Micra. Quite TA'd about that. They didn't even hoover it...

C'mon weekend hurry up. I need you! 👀⏳🕰️

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,565 ✭✭✭Mollyb60

You could put a post in the Pets forum which would probably get your answers but I'd go by what your vet recommends for house cats. All depends on whether they'll be indoors or outdoors cats. Ours are indoors but still get some vaccinations each year. Same with flea and worm treatments.

TA from me is we had a company wide forum this morning to discuss the future of home working. They're saying we've to go back in 2 days a week from 1st Nov and 3 days a week from 1st Jan. Better than a slap in the face but I don't wanna go back into the office at all. And as usual there was the one covid denier giving out that we're not back in full time already. What is wrong with these people?

    Related to this: 'Kids' menus.

Is this really only an Anglophone world poor parenting thing, children getting crap fried food on their menus because that's all they're conditioned to eat?

I have asked for smaller portions of 'adult' menu items a few times. Usually the answer is no so we end up ordering the full meal and asking for 2 plates. Lucky I have 2 kids that are usually happy to eat the same thing. An odd number of kids would cause issues

Vodafone called me to ask if I'd be interested in upgrading my package from a broadband only deal to a broadband and TV package.

    I said no.

He then said "are you sure? You can have *list a bunch of things you can do with your TV box (record, fast forward, bla bla bla)*

    Again, I said no.

"Which TV provider are you currently with"

I said I'm not with one.

"Really? You're not using Sky or anything like that?"

    I said no, I don't watch TV.

"What do you use to watch TV?"

I said I just stream films from different services.

"Oh well you see our service is actually better. We have 80+ channels and you can do all the same things you can do on other providers but cheaper (bla bla bla)"

Look, DORK, not **** interested. TV is utter shite. Stop trying to upsell me on paperweight for an extra tenner a month.

TA at these kind of geeks who are scripted to sound more intelligent than you when it comes to what you consume for home entertainment purposes. Look pal. I haven't touched a Sky (or any other equivalent) remote in 5 years. I like what I have. Piss off ..

Annoying and weird; the current rash of houses being raffled off.

    What's that about?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,406 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

Sand. Even after rinsing off outside I seem to have brought half the beach back inside with me.

Forced back to live meetings, as there will be ppl from all the branches its hard to know the vaccination status of the "room"(I don't have any feeling one way or the other, I just don't want to catch anything chest related till mid April tyvm)

I email my too young for the job my concerns of being in a warm from with so many ppl and having to wear a mask, as lately this situation has made me feel really claustrophobic and brings on a hot flush and that combination makes me nauseated.

He replies with an attachment for mindfulness class free to the organisation.

Ta I and lot of other ppl didn't know that a 20 min class of mindfulness for a week will overcome all menopause symptoms in all situations.

I don't know whether to be TA'd or amused at the ability of a poster to have other posters at one another's throats over made up scenarios. Wind 'em up and watch 'em go. 😝

    Couriers !

I am more than trivially annoyed by a transport company. I sent an email asking for a copy of the customs declaration( Cheers Brexit ..not) of equipment sent to the UK for maintenance. I gave the the tracking number, dates, address of where I sent the goods to. They reply with the wrong information. This is not the 1st time this company have messed up. I'm tearing my hair out. Like Bredbabe my perimenopause symptoms are causing me to have a very short fuse. I'm about to go full Karen on their asses

In most cases, yes. However, in severe cases, where mindfulness doesn't work and your metaphysics lets you down, 'being kind' on social media will relieve the lingering symptoms.

Speaking of metaphysics, I'm trvially livid about the appropriation of the word 'metaphysics' by self-help/harm gurus, spiritual changelings, long-haired shamanistic hustlers and other chancers. If you wish to consider what you ought to do, take a look at ethics or philosophy of mind or anything effing else because metaphysics has nothing to do with your hokey pokey concerns. :D

Wasps. I'm not afraid of them but fcuking hell, they're persistent little buggers. Just leave me alone to enjoy my drink in peace, assholes.

I think some of these students being priced out of renting for college should suck it up and face the morning commute. I know they might miss out on the "college experience" but so what? Surely education trumps socialising (and I am speaking as one that definitely favoured the latter).

    100%

Let all the country students go to the country colleges. Leave the Dublin universities to the Dubs.

There are loads more this year it seems. I’m chasing about five out of my place every week, loads in the park and I’m dining out yesterday I almost knocked my drink into my Carbonnara trying to swot one of the fearless annoying little cûnts away from me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,028 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

And for those of us culchies who live in the bowels of rural Ireland, who is going to fund putting on buses for us to get to the nearest university, over an hour away??

You happy to pay increased taxes for that?

the holier than thou on social media telling people what words they can and cannot use. Guy getting grief for using the word junkie, what about all the poor sods who got broken into, mugged and items stolen by someone who will sell and spend all the money on a fix. Or the kids and adults who accidently stood on a dirty needle in the park or on the beach.
