The temperature's fallen down to just 9 degrees there now, track 17, but of course that will vary between wet and dry areas.

Should be an interesting race ahead.

Not a good sign if the rear brakes are on fire after a lap to the grid. Aston have a job now to get the car ready in time

I'm not expecting too much. :pac: If they're let at it it'd be fun but we'll probably get one person spinning early, safety car, time for dry tyres once the SC is over.

This race could go literally anyway. Feels a bit like Germany 2019

Stroll or Vettel? I'm in a race of my own to get home for the start!

Maybe someone made the wrong setting change on the Astons to try get heat into the tyres, and totally cooked the brakes!?!

Both! Much worse for Stroll, though.

    Raining on the grid now.

Ah what I'd give for Hulkenberg to be here. He loves these conditions and there are very few on the grid that can handle them better than he can

Both, but Strolls were a lot worse.

Well both were having issues. Stroll's were on fire though and it has burned through what they are calling "the cake tin".

Mechanics also looking at the same area on Hamilton's car.

Looking at Lewis' car too since I presume they'd have similar designs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,261 ✭✭✭Gaoth Laidir

They're now also working on Hamilton's brakes

Just gives me memories of Schumacher's smiley face after winning

    Afternoon all.

I love the Italian National anthem!

    It is a great anthem,

amazing how I can whistle it all from watching F1.

Weird when ya realise Mick is probably too young to remember that song playing week in and week out with his ould lad on top of the podium.

I really don't understand why it bothers people so much.

Every race someone gives out about it when most generally don't seem to mind it.

Sure I know the lyrics off by heart.
    Italia, Italia, Italia, Italia.
    Italia, Italia, Italia, Italia.
    etc.

I missed the lead up to the grid. What’s happened to the Aston Martin’s?

Its generally people who aren't in any way effected by the issues that take umbridge.

The race is still the race, I've no interest in the ad breaks either but that's the way it is.

Just make sure you shout the Italias at the end louder. :pac:

    Well we’ve finished the lyrics.

Let’s stick an upbeat tune to it and we’re done

Imola in the rain, this is going to be great!

Rear brakes going on fire. They are frantically trying to fix it now. Bottas got a puncture on the way to the grid as well. The rain looks like it should stop shortly after the start.

Has your ethnicity prevented you from becoming an F1 driver? I'm pretty sure none of us posting on this thread have been affected.

Looking forward to this! Only problem is Lewis is usually very good in the wet.

one end of the track seems to have quite a bit of standing water on it though
