This used to be true years ago and probably still is. In the top four divisions in English football and the top four divisions in Scotland there is a letter of the alphabet which appears just once in the names of all those clubs. Which letter, and which club?

    J. St Johnstone

Speaking of bridges spanning the liffey.

O'Connell Bridge has a certain characteristic that is thought to be unique to bridges in Europe. What is it?

its width is longer than its span.

One of my favourites at a time football players complain about busy schedules.....

On 11th November 1987 What British soccer player played for his country and his club in two different countries on same day.

    Was it Mark Hughes?

The 1982 World Cup final was between Italy and West Germany.

    Name one other quarter finalist.

    Wasnt there two group stages?

No didn’t France play Germany where the German keeper took a hefty knock. Isn’t that the 1982 World Cup ?

    Was it Mark Hughes?

Yes ..... Wales lost 2.0 to Czechoslovakia in a match they had to win to qualify for euro 88 ....

He jumped into a taxi after match and onto a plane and came on as a substitute to play for Bayern Munich to the amazement of his team mates.... they went on to win 3.2 against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

You'll never see that in todays game.

I'm sure there's probably other players who might have done same in history but he's the only one I heard of.

There wasn’t technically a final in 1950. There was a final match between Uruguay and Brazil which Uruguay won 2-1 but Brazil would have won with a draw.

Edit: won the tournament with a draw I meant.

    On countries flags.

Which two countries are the only ones to have purple in their flag?

Which countries have firearms in their flags?

And as a bonus question which is the only country in the world to have a modern firearm (ak47) in their flag?

    Qatar
    Latvia

Is the last one part of the second last?
    Are canons included?

    On flags:

Erin , a femake representation of Ireland appears on which flag?

What national flag is neither square nor rectangular?

There weren't any. Two group stages, then semis

There wasn't one. It just so happened the last game of the final group stage pitted Brazil, who only needed a draw, against Uruguay who had to win. They did!

    x? Exeter?

    x? Exeter?

Question probably shows its age as Exeter is correct along with J for St Johnstone.

Wrexham played in English League 2 until 2008 according to Google, to make Exeter and Wrexham for X, so I'd assume the question predates that.
