Buying from China and buying a China made product are 2 different things.
I bet 90% of the products outside of groceries you buy were originally made in China.

Dunno where you got 90% from, but I'm sure that I have bought products from China.

What's your point? Are you suggesting that I can't make a personal decision not to use Amazon unless I meet some personal purity standard set by you?

I take no issue with people boycotting Amazon, each to their own.
Your answer to keemos question sounded like you were trying to deny buying stuff made in China:

Can't remember the last time I brought in anything from China myself tbh.

The only thing about Amazon/E-bay is there can be a lot of fake products on their from third party sellers. I bought some Gillette blades before and I don't think they were as good or lasted as long as any of the blades I bought before or since.

The ones I got are from the Gillette shop on Amazon, if they were fake I'd seek a return under prime membership.

The only thing is that you don't know until you start using them, usually the first shave is fine but after the second or third the blade blunts very quickly.

Happened me too, I got them on ebay.

    Right. So not a bargain.

What's this? 500 tampons for 10 euro? But I don't even have a vagina, not a bargain. Please take this off the Internet.

I'm sure I've bought stuff made in China, though in general, I'm fairly low impact consumer anyway. I don't scrutinise the country of manufacture of every product or cable or memory card, but I don't buy loads of plastic sh1te anyway.

The eBay seller reputation is a reasonably good guide. I bought a garden implement from an Irish eBay seller which broke after two uses, but they refunded me without any quibble.

You have 30 days to return, i'd know by then personally.

Havn't had a dud branded item yet from Amazon bit I only buy when its sold and fulfilled by Amazon - no third party sellers.

I got my duds on eBay. My own fault seller's feedback wasn't great, a lesson learned as they say.

Who isn’t.... £4.99 delivery is crazy, half the price of the blades. At that price I’d want the shave included. They’d fit in a small envelope

Here’s 50 Double Edge blades for the same price. If you learn to break free of cartridges you’ll shave much better and save money too

Why is it that every time someone posts a deal on Gillette, the safety razor brigade come along touting their wares. Without fail. Can you not leave us to our far quicker & bloodless method please.

Thank you! I tried switching from carts to a good quality safety razor & blades a few years back - I couldn't switch back to carts fast enough. I think I stuck out the safety razor/blades for about three months, never again.

I wondered if the charter rules had anything about this issue with semantics, i.e. if they had a definition of what a bargain is.

This comment was in the charter
You may have noticed a new 'Bargain Alerts [Requests)' subforum which has been created to deal with the ever-increasing percentage of threads requesting the best prices on various products / items.

Which would suggest they consider a "best price on a product" to be a bargain, regardless if somebody considers it to be poor value.

I see no harm in people mentioning alternatives, as long as it is constructive and not causing aggro.

Many may be unaware that those DE blades exist, or have not really thought of trying them.

I use a Wahl "balding" hair clippers on my face and would have loved to have known that type of clippers was on the market long before I bought it. One of my best ever buys, very quick to use.
