Not a good start. Been cut up in defence a few times. Deeny, Soroka and Kelleher are having a shocker. Poor penalty to give away a few minutes ago and then missed the tackle to stop the Scarlets try.

Terrible start and not looking good at all. Could be battered here today.

Kelleher trying to do too much so far, needs to just settle in

We've been giving away so many moronic penalties.

How did that take so long? Replays showed tackle was clearly early.

This is our worst defensive performance since the early stages of the Nienaber tenure. Missing tackles in midfield and leaving gaps in the backfield to kick into.

Scarlets really taking advantage of this Leinster team.

Worse teams than this have put in better performances this season. They don't look mentally there at all.

    So jammy.

Brilliant charge down from Mangan for Osborne to score the try, but we hardly deserve it.

And just like that the game can turn.

This is very uncharacteristic so far.

A bit of luck with the charge down and score. We will take it.

Costelow is not having a fun time.

Andrew Osborne has terrible hands. Baird had him running into space if he could catch the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,567 ✭✭✭niallm77

Was that a head on head contact on Ross there

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 36,195 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

So that's what happens when you run a ball. Ross won't try that again.

Ross Byrne is having a shocker. He saw the shooter coming up in defence and threw the pass anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,503 ✭✭✭A-Train

Ah Ross. Scarlets line up so quick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,038 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Baird and Jamie Osborne are the only Leinster players staking a claim for selection next weekend.

Ross and Frawley having a good battle to see who can play themselves out of the bench better.

Very surprised we didn't see a replay.

Leinster have been really bad overall.

Good scrum and good strike play. Turner should have gotten the ball away but at least they kept it and scored.

    Gunne magic !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,038 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Gunne is a decent prospect but he has so much work to do, especially with his kicking. That was an awful attempt at a box kick that got no distance and immediately put his defence back under pressure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,038 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Brilliant steal from Kelleher. Very worrying that Frawley was turned inside out so easily.

Scarlets comfortably the better side in the first half. Disappointed by Leinster. A win tonight seals top spot in the league. Very little accuracy in attack or defence.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 36,195 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

The intercept was a bit of magic. The passed looked on to send the man through the gap left by the shooting defender but grabbing it behing himself and flooring it was a great bit of vision and skill.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,038 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Soroka, Baird and Jamie Osborne have been the pick of the Leinster players this half. The only ones who actually look fully switched on. Mangan is also very quickly becoming an exciting prospect. Still growing into his body but already packs a lot of physicality in his hits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,503 ✭✭✭A-Train

    Absolutely shambolic defending again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,567 ✭✭✭niallm77

3 of the 4 tries conceded have been far too easy

This is brutal. Scarlets cutting us to shreds defensively and show boating over the line.

Andrew Osborne caught out badly with his shooting up.
