I'm actually going to duck out of this debate before you guys continue; 'cos I realise on more than one occasion in this thread I've been all "fúck the Oscars, more fool you for taking it seriously" - so about time I take my own advise and stop giving oxygen to what I see as nothing more than Group Masturbation for mediocre cinema (albeit occasionally getting the right choice, like last year & Parasite). If it ever stops being the biggest headline in mainstream cinema I'll be a happy bunny.
