I'm going back to sleep for an hour. At this rate I expect sulli's painting to be finished and Ecto having something for me to describe in my inbox by the time I wake up again... :D

I'm chasing after a feral puppy this morning, who appears to have made it her goal to pee and poo in every accessible room... so don't bank on it!!

Nothing would surprise me with this puppy. She is everywhere. I went out earlier and when I got home there was a long list of misdemeanours. Including getting stuck inside my laundry basket in my bedroom when she is not allowed upstairs and my door was closed.

    Pics or it didn't happen!

One of mine is 18 months old and still gets up to all sorts. So funny.

Okay. Today I tried to clear out a cupboard. I left the room to get the hoover. This was what greeted me on my return.

I just have photos of my caterpillar on Insta. We're not allowed pets in this house, but I found her on a parsley plant I got during lockdown...

I ended up buying little Persil a second pot of parsley to destroy a few weeks later.

Love it! All sorts of alarming scenarios of someone serving up parsley sauce and Persil gone missing...

Persil went missing regularly thanks to some parsley-powered camouflage. Nobody saw the little puddin for the first three weeks, so we're lucky there wasn't a "cursed gummy worm" situation. Here's a pic of her taking a nap, in case nobody believes me!

Eventually, Persil buried herself in one of the pots and turned in to an Angle Shades moth. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angle_shades

    Sad bits
The timing was all wrong because it was mid-December, and I think things were sped up by someone turning the heating on every morning too close to where I had the parsley. My roommate found adult Persil dead, and it looked like the rapid return to freezing temperatures on the windowsill took her out just before she was able to fly.
    :(

(I actually think it was a great idea to keep him as a pet Aceandstuff, to be able to watch his transformation!)

I know I sound like some sort of mad child going on about it, but getting rid of it was not an option. Once I saw Persil, the "protecc baby" light went off in my head and everyone was warned not to interfere.

Some of my housemates were very anti-caterpillar, and they had some mad notions of putting the plant outside, or killing Persil, or feeding the birds. I moved the plant upstairs to the bedroom, to live with me and two roommates. One of them was terrified of insects, and the other one loved Persil as much as I did. We spent a few weeks like a pair of mad aunts commenting on how tall the caterpillar was getting, and taking pictures of it, and cleaning up poop and...

Lockdown was hard for everyone, OK?!?!
