Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Water break 18 minutes played. Dublin 1-3 Mayo 0-6. As usual a competitive final between these two sides.

Dublin ball handling is poor, Fenton making it look like a bar of soap...twice

Maybe they think it’s a league match given the crowd and weather.

The camera work on the sideline was very academy award like.

Dublin slightly caught napping I think, but I don't think it'll last for long

Refs letting Mayo players stretch the rules to win back possession.

Totally, borderline rugby tackles, arm pulling, stopping the Dublin player running AND releasing the pass

Mayo forwards giving the ball away far too often.

Very impressed with Mayo's comeback. Previous Mayo teams would have folded. Some pace in the new players as well.

Liking Mayo's pace they're not burning themselves out and keeping pressure on.

Wouldnt it be so typical of life that Mayos worst team would win their first final against their hardest final opponents.

Dublin can just switch it on

That was way too easy for Dublin.

But there’s a lot of Dublin players under performing here. Not one stands out, maybe Rock has been solid but in general a lot of poor decisions and mistakes. Intensity also not great.

Mayo better side so far and look more up for it. If Mayo can keep their heads Dublin look here for the taking ...

Oops. Goal . Still think if Mayo can keep up their play Dublin look very very vulnerable.

These goals conceded by Mayo should be no surprise. They conceded 3 was it against Tipperary, and could/should have conceded another handful.

    2 soft enough goals.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,223 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Both full back lines are in trouble

Ryan O'Donoghue is single-handedly bringing back the small playmaker a la greg blaney a la trevor giles a la marty Morrissey

    Goals will kill Mayo.

Tipp showed how vulnerable they are. So for all their effort, and playing better than Dublin and throwing everything at it early on, they're behind again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,338 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Well that shows why Mayo need to get a big lead because Dublin can turn it on in a second.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,056 ✭✭✭awaywithyou

Dublin are making a show of Mayo... let them geta few scores.. look good and then come down and get a goal like that to erase their lead

Yeah similar to the 2017 final which mayo dominated the first half
Dublin played much better in second half

2 goals now where Dublin have had a free man. Poor defence by Mayo

Soft free, like mayos equalizer at 6-6. Again Mayo getting handy calls

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,797 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Mayo half backs are playing well. The fullback line looks dodge though.

if Mayo had a second Cillian o Connor , they would win

  • Site Banned Posts: 20,686 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

Why isn't that push a black card. There was no intention of doing naything there but fouling the player. Not contesting the ball, not trying to tackle. It was just a deliberate foul.

So many Dublin players have not turned up. Goals killing Mayo.
    5 Scores to 9.
Mayo are the better team so far.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?
