Seems crazy to have to wait that long when window for doing the video interviews was so short!!

I would have really rather waited to do the video interviews than do it and wait 6 weeks for results

  • Registered Users Posts: 38 Tinkerbell83

That's disappointing - especially seeing how fast they can move and are moving with the Dublin batches. I guess we knew the priority would be Dublin tbf, it just doesn't help with the waiting! I'm still hopeful we'll hear by next Thursday/Friday though as they surely don't need longer than 3 weeks to review them and issue results....

I would have rathered that too. This waiting is awful.

It’s 4weeks tomorrow since the closing date for the shortlisting. I was convinced we would get them last Friday in my head. Hopefully you are right :)

Yeah you're right with the closing date, but PAS said they wouldn't start reviewing the videos until the first week of June - so assuming they did that last week...I'm thinking anywhere between this Friday and next - but this may be wishful thinking!

I've heard from a person I work with that some people are officially starting there new role as HEO on June 14th. I haven't heard of anyone myself.

Any idea as to their OOM after Stage 3?

No sorry i'm not sure. I think they requested to stay in the same department tho which maybe speeds up the process?

Yeah, I see where you are coming from. Fingers crossed all around :)

I’m actually Carlow. Found it awful to be totally honest. I’m usually fine with interviews and did the prep etc but just felt flustered and rushed with delivery of answers. I had bullet points on the screen but not a script. May aw well not have had them because I just went off on my own schpeel anyway!! I had top 10 and 5 oom’s for my two counties before but if I scrapped through it I’m sure I will have taken a significant drop!

I just want to be put out of my misery one way or the other haha.

    How did you find it?

I am planning to do it on Monday and to be honest I'm worried as I had a similar experience to you in an interview last year.

The 3 minute counter got to me, I got so flustered. Also had bullet points but I may aswell have had Arabic in front of me.

    I completely flunked it.

If I learned anything from it I learned to cut out all the small talk and waffle and literally focus on main points.

Good luck with it anyway. Hopefully you will be happier with it this time. Its such a frustrating thing to have to do isn’t it?! I’ve def learned a lesson from it too :)

Any idea when Dublin batch 2 interviews are starting and finishing. Just trying to establish a time line as to when this pressure will be over .. regardless of the outcome

Apparently it took 4wks for results of stage two for the last batch and then I’m not sure how long it took the interviews to begin but results were out about 2wks afterwards

I've been called for the video shortlisting stage and I have a quick question.

When doing the competencies based questions, did you stick with your examples on your original application form and elaborate a bit more or did you find some new wonderful and fresh examples for this stage to elaborate more on during the real interview?

Anyone know or hear of anyone appointed in Dublin yet?

Expanded on 2 examples in my form and had a new sexy one for the third. Should also note that the examples in my form weren’t really referred to for stage 3

did you have to come up with new ones to questions

No they were general questions and it’s up to you to bring in whatever example you want to talk about.

Like I had a pre prepared conflict resolution and underperformance examples that I wedged in when appropriate - also related them both to courses I did within my organisation - so within those two examples I’m hitting marks for team leadership, specialist knowledge and interpersonal and communication.

Just wanted to check if anyone as heard anything since the OOM and results were released for internal Revenue HEO.
I know there was a mention of moving to another thread but didn't see any linked.
    Thanks

No other Thread as far as I know.
Yes apparently it has started movement already...since end of April.

I couldn’t look back at mine. The practice questions were horrible to look at so I decided not to review the real thing! Fingers crossed for Stage 3
