Judging by speed of last one could be a while before we get all Irelands venues

Bit arrogant of them to have the draw in French considering the amounts of counties involved.

Bit odd alright. And asking Kolbe in French only for him to answer in English doesnt work that well.

That never has and never will work.

The same old way of playing old players until the are being wheeled onto the field while the younger guy sits at home scratching his todger hasn't worked

It's comes from extending the group stage by 7 extra days, which is itself a good things as no-one will have a Saturday->Wednesday combo this time.

I wonder will the team stay in France for that 13 day gap though?

Ryanair Will be glad of it flying people back and forward twice, reckon alot who are doing it on a budget will fly back home for the two weeks.

Both our potentially qfs are in the stade de France one day apart, theres one head wrecker eliminated.

We actually do a lot less travelling than anyone else - our last 2 group games are in SDF as well, making us the only team to play two group games in Paris.
France only play their opener there, England or Wales won't get to Paris until a semi-final.
(A conspiracy theorist might suggest they have us pegged as people who'll travel in numbers selling out the biggest ground with the most expensive tickets).

I mean we were given Wembley for a pool game Vs Romania in 2015 and more less packed it full so it wouldn't exactly be a theory without merit on there part.

Biggest ever attendance at a RWC match!

    The opposite surely?
We can go all out against SA knowing we don't play Scotland in the final group game until 2 weeks later.

Good chance for physical recovery. Less chance of missing key players for a (likely) must-win game against Scotland.

Meant moreso for those wanting to travel over and follow the team through the pool, the timing of the break could be fortunate for us if players develop any little niggles against the saffers alright.

I actually like our schedule, get a nice two weeks to build into the tournament before playing our biggest game which will take a big performance and one way or another we then have two weeks to rest up for what is another big game v Scotland.

Ireland v Scotland will be extra tasty in the interim.

I'm very glad that an extra week has been added to the duration of the pool stages. It was a disgrace how the minnow teams were set up to fail in previous tournaments.

I think the pool games set us up nicely. Couple of confidence builders and then , the real stuff.

    Wales
    Australia
    Fiji

Are you sure that's the lineup for 2023 and not 2019 or 2007 :D

Think they have to. I remember one player had to leave 2015 for a funeral and they had to seek permission from the RWC organiser.

Also for anti doping purposes too I guess they have to stay in an official venue

Registration for tickets is now open, you can’t choose matches yet, but you can register for pre-sale.

Yeah, all teams have to stay in country. It is to level the playing field.

Honestly think this is more than a little suspicious. Kinda like France and NZ being in the same pool.
