I long to live in Levar's world where he had to listen to Shallow twice to figure out if he like it and it isn't imprinted on his brain from the sheer amount of radio plays and Facebook covers

I rarely listen to the radio anymore, they only play chart stuff which is in large part absolute drivel, and I assume a "Facebook cover" is similar to a YouTube cover in which people of varying degrees of musical talent improve upon or butcher a well known song, but don't know why I'd watch one of those if I don't know the song.

The song does sound vaguely familiar, so I assume I had heard it in the background at one point, but yeah I definitely never listened to it properly before.

So I take you haven't seen the film either, right?

No, everyone kept telling me how amazing it was and that I had to go see it, so I therefore had to do the exact opposite of that, because I hate being told what to do... :D

I've not seen that movie either, I'd be more inclined to watch the original or the the Judy Garland version, I prefer old movies

Me too. So much so, that I have no clue which movie they're talking about.

I haven't seen any of the previous reiterations of the film. I watched this one, I thought it was a good film, not amazing but very enjoyable.

Thanks though not really my thing. I'd probably watch:

    1 Judy Garland
    2 Streisand
    3 Janet Gaynor

    before Lady G.

See my earlier post about not listening to radio.

Stopped working in radio in early 2011, and thats also about the last time I've listened to radio. If I'm out and about I've got my headphones on, and the types of bars I go to don't exactly play the Top 40.

Sure these days Spotify recommends me 60 songs a week based on what I already listen to without me having to even press a button, throw YouTube recommendations in on top of that and you've more new music coming in than you know what to do with. When the music comes to you why anyone still listens to radio baffles me...

Same goes for TV actually - these "I'm just watching it because its on" people have me scratching my head. Between all the streaming services and TV packages, on demand, being able to record what you want, etc. and people still just watch whatever old sh*te is on RTE... I don't get it.
