    Hi,

I am a old eircom user and my account was closed in 2017 and looking for a old bill from year 2017, tried contacting the eircom support team but no help. I would assume that, as per the data retention policy they should have kept all the details for at least 10 years. Can someone help me out here.

Is a bill considered personal data, and where did you get the 10 year period from? There must be a justification for retaining your personal data, if you closed your account 3 years ago, it would be difficult to justify retaining your info I’d imagine.

I would assume they would retain it for at least six years, in case of any disputes.
