Never mind the irony of having to collect the printout of my blood results.This is the same practice that never got me tested or looked after when I arrived home ill from Namibia, so in a way I have nothing to lose. There are few GPs out there, and quite frankly I'm yet to hear of a good one anywhere in my district. When I ask around, the general thing I keep hearing is that people in the wider area are generally putting up with their doctors and have many have changed practice, not to find much of an improvement. In one way I know how to negotiate with the practice and bypass them if I imagine things are getting beyond their capabilities. During the summer I attended a super thorough and lovely GP in Clifden, who proved to me that there is such a thing out there a an occasional decent one.

Sounds like you have nothing to lose but lots of things you could get.
