The sale of the Tyrannosarus rex skeleton at Christie's auction house this week has had me thinking about how magnificent this ancient creature must have been when it was alive. I'm aware that their DNA is gone, but do you think it might be possible that science, with the aid of super AI computers, would ever be able to bring back Tyrannosaurus and other dinosaurs at some stage in the future?

No, but Woolley Mammoths and other more recent extinctions are within the realm of possibility where we've found frozen samples.

Perhaps, it'd be great if they could bring back extinct species.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

Yes, if you extract the syrupy part from the amber and place it in a freezer for one week. Presto, dinosaur.

If they can grow an ear on a rats back I'm sure it is possible.

First they came for the socialists...

if they find some insect that was sucking their blood then somehow got preserved in amber or something, piece of cake, they could bring them all back and even make up new ones. maybe set up some sort of reserve on an island where people could visit...

Another couple of centuries and we'll certainly have the CO2 levels to sustain them.

It will just turn out like Jurassic Park and they will come for us

If you can get mainstream experts to declare that the dinosaurs are back then as far as the majority of people are concerned the dinosaurs are back.

Dinosaurs evolved into birds. It should be possible to reverse engineer a chicken into a T Rex.

There was a film about it. I think it was called Billy and the Cloneasaurus

This whole idea of bringing back dinosaurs is nonsense.

Scientific focus should be on getting sponges to wear square pants.

Why on earth would you want to bring back dinosaurs?

Most adults can't handle dogs as pets. The dog whisperer earns a living and has his own T.V Show.

How do you think they'll get on with a megalodon trying to chew the bollocks off them.

    Some don't.

It's not like we're going to put dinosaurs in the zoo or seaworld or some sh1t.
