Hi, ****update on HN order****

So my Ps5 is in store and will be shipped tomorrow. I only found out by ringing the store to check status!

I was one of those with a delayed email (spiderman bundle) so it seems they have them in stock and the chap said they (staff) are in since 6am getting orders ready.

I should get a DPD message this evening with update.

So for those with a delayed e-mail, ring the store and ask them to track it for you.

Just be patient as it seems like they are upto their eyes dealing with this shipment

Soooo, check your email it should give a store name. Ring them and ask.

In my case I live 5 mins drive from one so I just assumed, correctly as it turned out.

My order still says processing even though I've had the console since 11am

This was on the link they sent me when purchasing, hence me ringing Swords.

Every single email has the same store no matter where in the country you ordered from. Its a generic email which lists Swords for all orders and the name listed does not exist as no one with that name works there. Swords is their head office.

Its generally the store nearest to you that ship them.

Were the staff in swords able to confirm where your orders coming from, because my local store said it was nothing to do with them when I called? Maybe just caught someone at the wrong time, probably fed up of ps5 enquires.

I know I have an account that I used to pay for the order.
But it says when I log in and click through the order what store is fulfilling it.
Which is Waterford.

My Spiderman bundle status has changed in my account online, instead of back-ordered now it says "Ready to collect from 4th February in-store" :pac::pac::pac:

Told me it was in another store, whem i rang the other store, they confirmed. Chap was very helpful

Anyone else in same boat or has everyone received a message from DPD?

It was a bundle PS5.

I’m in the same boat as you. Hopefully we’ll receive some clarification tomorrow and even better have it on the 6th.

Which HN are ye expecting it from? Seems to be Dublin and the midlands so far are getting them haven't heard anything about down South

I’m Dublin also, doesn’t seem like they’ve had any structure to what way the orders have been processed/backordered/shipped.

Checked Dpd there and my HN bundle is in transit so I'll hopefully have it tonorrow, I was never delayed and its coming from the Naas store

Are retailers still fulfilling orders from last year? If someone hasn't pre ordered can they do so or are retailers clearing the current backlog first?

Most of us here are currently discussing Harvey Norman and Smyths orders placed since last Friday, they don't have any Preorder queue, it's all new stock and new orders. The GameStop comments are regarding pre-xmas orders.

GameStop have SERIOUSLY dropped the ball here. Madness that people are still waiting, they must have oversold by a factor of multiples of expected stock.

Ordered a Sackboy bundle from HN last week, and chose home delivery so no idea what store it was coming from. As mentioned I’m still in the boat of not having received anything additional from HN/DPD since last Friday when I paid. Emailed them this morning for an update and got this response:

“Thank you for your e-mail.
The PS5's are due into stock today and will be processed for delivery and collection. As soon as this ships, you will be notified and you will also receive tracking information with DPD.”

Pretty generic but hopefully some movement today.

Update: Got a call from HN asking I want to collect from my nearest store, so off to get it now

I ordered the Demon souls bundle from HN, hadnt received any communication other than order confirmation until today. Just got a call from the Carrickmines store that they were getting them in today and I could collect if I wanted since I'm in Dublin. I said I'd wait for delivery and he said it should be with me early next week.

Got one for a mate, nothing yet apart from the delay email. Have been trying to track the order on HN website but not working either.
