Smart watch given we'll never get Google or Samsung Pay

Have a Note 9 and a galaxy watch, given it looks like I'll never be able to use the watch to pay for stuff, can anyone recommend a decent not too expensive smart watch that will work (notifications etc) on a note 9. Looking at a Fitbit versa?

Trying to decide whether its worth paying thr extra €50 to have 'proper Spotify on the Garmin.

Even on the fit bit it seems its a controller of your Spotify account only and to use it you'll need to have phone in Bluetooth range...
