Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Happy enough there. Always bound to be a lot of errors first game back both sides.

Agree with that - they need to put a time on it, like 3s or something from the call.
Its already in law that its 5s and if not used its a scrum turnover but rarely used by officials at any level

Massive turnover for Connacht. In this position they'll have to fancy themselves to close this out. The impact/form of the replacements could be crucial.

Ulsters decision making is absolutely atrocious. Three on one and we will just keep passing towards the touch line.

Ulster's execution of most things has been off. Lineout is very sloppy and they've been turned over three or four times by their own poor ball presentation. McCloskey and Hume have been poor offensively and defensively. Taking contact too much and when they out it through the hands the accuracy isn't there.

Ellis was behind a lot of the best attacking play in 2015-2016. He left and we lost a lot of that for 2-3 years. Friendy is slowing bringing back that pomp.

    It’s a delight to watch isn’t it?
    Refreshing.

I don't want to jinx it, but Frank Murphy is having an excellent game for both sides.

    He’s a good ref.
People were getting their knickers in a knot because Sexton was been obnoxious to a ref...again.
And it couldn’t be Sextons fault!!

Referees wait far too long to call use it in the first place. Could be far more proactive in speeding up the game.

Looked bad for Thornbury. Niall Murray looks to have developed a fair bit physically.

Hope that’s just a concussion and they’re being overly cautious.

I wish they did that with Sexton last night l.
    He appeared fine.
    But that’s not the point.
And it’s not as if there isn’t history there

Ref said it wasn't cynical. Dunno where he gets that from.

Shaping up to be a another cracking game.

Super entertainment, think the wider space of the Aviva is lending itself to more expansive rugby.

    Great finish by Farrell.

Madigan on to rescue an eight point deficit.

    Edit: Try ruled out.

    Madigan on
    That try is his fault
    Can’t “manage a game”
    “Bit in too early”
And couldn’t put a player “Through a gap”

Doesn't look like it went over the line

Don't think McFaland cares about this game at all. Cooney, McGrath, Moore, Cotezee off by 47 minutes. Burns by min 52.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,293 ✭✭✭MarinersBlues

The crowd didn't like that try being ruled out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,800 ✭✭✭CMcsporty

    Lucky
But this is all on Madigan

plan b- give it to Aki

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,478 ✭✭✭✭cson

    That's phenomenal power.

Ran over Madigan (who went a touch high if we're being critical).

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

    Aki...wow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

I can't tell if that's excellent attacking from Connacht or dreadful defending from Ulster? A crashball to Aki running at Madigan is so obvious.

Alby is such an annoying bollix. So good.

Hold up, is whatever Mathewson did there really legal? Had his foot actually inside Connacht's scrum

Alby being a prick like all good 9's should be.
