Well after 2 days of complete muck (5 & 10) back on form today with an almost record equalling 35.9kWh.

Sadly I was out most of the day and exported 11 of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,247 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

Today is the day the record goes...

Already sitting at 21kWh and it's not 3pm yet.

    Cracking day here in Galway.

Imported 0.025kWh from the grid today so far :D

Including since midnight? Have you got a big battery?

Yes since midnight. One 2.4kwh battery.

    Sun shining early this morning.

Not massive users of electricity. Probably average 10kWh per day this time of year. That's down to about 1.5kWh average since the panels went in,maybe even less. And to be honest, that's almost all from electric shower that wife uses ! Everyone else uses the pumped shower !

    And a new personal best!

36kWh was my previous highest. Today was 42.1kWh and only exported 3.3 of it.

Tomorrow is potentially going to be even better, sadly I'm out most of the day so I'll lose probably 60% of it.

Nice, I’ve been just shy of 40 so would be nice to break that as today looks decent, EV will be plugged in today too so should consume the vast majority

Seems like the forecast was optimistic. It'll be good but won't be near as good as yesterday.

    9.2 so far.

    92.8kWh today, new record.

    Well I was wrong...

Yesterday's new record of 42.1 didn't last long, a lofty 43.1 generated today. Sadly I was off for a trek around the Giant's Causeway today and didn't get home til about 5pm so exported 12kWh.

That's more generated in the last 2 days than in all of December. And more in the last 3 days than in either November or January.

I’d fallen just short of the 40 mark for last high but pushed right through yesterday with new high of 43 exactly, 26.4 to the EV, 9.9 to hot water, 2.0 exported and remainder to house load.

Decent day yesterday (27/5) with 22.9kWh.

I've had better: 32kWh best so far (19/5).
And I've had worse: 7kWh on the darkest day of the month (21/5).

At the risk of sounding stupid, how do the numbers work on this? If a system is rated at 4kwp is there a formula to calculate expected kWh?

where we are in the world 1kwp yields about 1,000 kwh a year
