Hello and welcome to another Ultimate Tournament. This time we are going to find your favorite subdivisional flag of Western Europe. All the continental Euro big boys are here and they're are some cracking efforts. Many of these you will have seen before and plenty you won't have laid eyes on. There are 96 entrants here and we'll whittle them down until we crown the Ultimate Champion of Western Europe. Action starts very shortly so get ready to cast judgment.

- All First Round bouts are Triple Threat matches.

- A quota of 5 votes will see a flag through to Round 2.

- Matches will have a 30 minute time limit, leading flag will advance if time expires. In the event of a draw, I will cast a deciding vote based on any reasons given by posters.

The coat of arms of the Region is set in a square in the center of the flag: the Lion of Saint Mark with the opened gospel (reading the Latin motto Pax tibi Marce evangelista meus, "Peace to you Mark, my evangelist") rests its paws on the landscape of Veneto: sea (the Adriatic), land (the Venetian Plain) and mountains (the Alps).

Attached to the fly edge are seven tails. Each one bears in the middle the coat of arms of one of Veneto's seven province capitals, sorted in reverse alphabetical order:
