No it’s not of risk to enough to justify restrictions anymore. Simple as that.

It is, quite simply you are wrong in your thinking. Simple as that :)

Make the guidelines law. More than 6 people from more than 1 household in another house then fine them. Fine people gathering in groups outdoors, fine people leaving their county (when at level 3) and turn them around etc.

So you don't have even a basic grasp of the fact that freedom of movement is Guarenteed by the constitution?

We are still worrying because PEOPLE, too many of the fûckwits are not adhering to restrictions, the virus doesn’t have a key to anybody’s front door, it doesn’t go around ripping people’s masks off...

It’s of risk to enough. The Catholic Church analogy is apt. They had and even have too, people such as yourself, similar traits, excusing away wrong doing all be of a differing variety.

I was going to reply in greater detail but when you're that desperate that you're comparing someone to supporting things like child abuse and paedophilia to try and score whatever point you're trying to, there's just no point.

Your on another thread saying police can break up house parties because you saw it on Twitter. Your posts are laughable.

    He's trolling now tbh.

It didn’t stop them in lockdown, plenty were fined for going outside their 2km. This is a pandemic you can’t be crying about the constitution.

The person you replied to described a 12 year old child needing mental health care as 'a needy little bollix'.

Quit eyeballing my new car.....! Sicko!!! ;)

    Says a lot alright..

My own son (a few years younger than that) is very aware of the whole covid situation to the point of being very worried that he'll infect his nanny and even the occasional nightmare about it (they're very close)

It's bad enough that grown adults are so worried about it to the point of hysteria, but it's not right for young kids to be that impacted by this whole thing.

Good lord, that is one of the most ridiculous things you've said, and that's a long list.

Have you ever considered leaving Ireland nox? You'd do great in North Korea....

I have a video of it but can’t upload it on the phone will try later when I have the laptop in front of me. 3 guards hunting about 40 people out of a house and all 3 inside at different points in time.

Ok well the point I was attempting to make was that these restrictions disproportionately affect those already disadvantaged.

Not sure what you are bleating about re destruction of nice car. I was speaking of long-term reduced employment opportunities for those less educated and less advantaged in society, and the unrest resulting of that.

Kids have to be impacted. They can contract it and spread it. No hall passes. Not for young, old, sufferers of x issues, sorry :)

Rumours of the Cork cluster being from a café on the Model Farm Road. Sounds like lots of students. Probably all asymptomatic.

I agree they do disproportionately affect people. That’s not my fault, not yours.

Life isn’t equal. That’s the reality, it will become less equal quickly if covid wins and goes out of hand... same standards need to be applied to rich, poor, employed, unemployed, young, old.

At 450 cases per day, it will take 30 years for our population to get infected with covid. Time to call in the military to stop this spread

That's if it stays at 450 per day. Cases are increasing day by day at the moment.

What kind of bubble are you living in that you think your standards will have equal importance for someone living week to week in a precarious industry, as opposed to those unaffected financially and even financially better off? No worries about feeding, clothing and educating the kids and keeping a roof over their heads? Can afford all the standards you want.

Miniscule risk for majority of society, but maximum suffering for those that can least afford it.

And if those people had of told the gardai to go away, there's not a thing they could have done. Seems like the gardai took advantage of people not knowing the rules.

Thankfully I don’t live in or near Dublin.

As a Dub, I second that.

I know what it is like. I asked my three kids, all under 9 years of age, what they were afraid of. They told me they were scared to contract COVID and bring it home because it would kill me and my wife. They had tears in their eyes. That made me sit down and think how to straighten out the version of reality that they have created from the information that has been circulating around them for the past 6 months.

”Where’s the revolution? Come on, people you’re letting me down!”

They had a lot more than a pint in that case.

Our local guard is as sound as you could meet never does bagging checkpoints will only pull a lad who is constantly driving hammered (and reported to him) and said and I quote “I always give a lad a chance” i.e. you will get warned the first time and told to park up but no more. The second time you are done though and rightly so.

Ah seriously, this has to be a Paddy Green type parody in reverse

You are right, you've tried to alien yourself from Leroy Clever Semicolon back last week, when it was becoming increasingly obvious you support his views.

You are very similar to Leo. I know that much. ;)

    Alien?

You don't know as much as you think.

I think Leroy Clever Semicolon's views are extreme. I don't fall into that category.

It’s 100% true, gladly many guards are actually sound.

Why would I lie anyway, just because it doesn’t agree with your narrow little view of things.

I have eyes. I can’t see through walls though. No doubt you’ve seen Gardai on Twitter with X-Ray vision, or your local sergeant, sound lad that he is, told you he could see through walls.

I left my level 3 county 3 times so far this week. Tomorrow will be the fourth time. I was stopped by the guards entering the county again on Monday evening. She asked me the nature of my journey and I told her that I was on my way home from work. No issues.

They shouldn't even be doing that. They have no authority to prevent people travelling but it's still a level of fear and intimidation (most people don't like being stopped by the Guards - even with everything in order) that only makes people nervous.

Tell them to F off. None of their business where anyone is going. Weasel politicians were quick to state they were only guidelines when Ryanair took them to court.
