The long repetitive audio beds are a bit too much also. A lot of them are approaching 3min!

The Arsenal/Henry audiobed is one of the worst, if not the worst for me. It’s just boring Henry mixed with some horrible shouting.

Since that episode way back when and the associated audio bed describing Ken's dietary preparation for his run, I've been on the lookout for a cornflake ritter bar. Not actively looking, but found one today. Shall report back later on whether or not its tasty...

Update: it was grand. Not worth the €2.50. The cornflakes were decent, the chocolate was only okay. And heavy. 5/10.

Any improvement in your 5k time though?

I didn't carb load fully like Mr Ken Early. Will have to try again.

They just don't work as well as they used to when they were all in the studio together. It's clear they are mostly added after the fact now, whereas previously they would all hear it at the same time and react.

I kinda disagree.. I don't think they ever worked! But at least when they're put in afterwards they don't stop the lads in their tracks and ruin their train of thought.

Just because Andy Lee doesn't publicly state his views on Kinahan/MTK doesn't mean he has any time for them. He and his family still live in Limerick, his only concern is for their welfare and safety and him making a living in the sport. Going out on a limb and speaking out against MTK is just not a runner for him. It's a really sh*t situation, but it is what it is.

    Me bollix.

Silence in relation to heinous crime is approval, Lee is a coward.

Ditto - i got one this week and it’s very disappointing. If any Dublin based listeners want to try it then you get it for €1.90 in Tesco Jervis Centre.

Kinda sums up arsenal pretty well. They've gone from the boring back 4 to Nick Hornby to the Guardian favourites to this social media malaise and strange disconnect with their past greats. It's not my favourite but they don't deserve a good audio bed at the moment.

The eels one with John Giles talking about Ken is my all time favourite. It's spectacular.

Succession / John Delaney is my all time favourite or Ken in Russia at the World cup

They seem to bring up succession a fair bit. I have never heard of it outside of this podcast

One of the best shows in recent years. It's obviously based on the Murdochs media empire but they can't say that!

Big Jim Larkin raising his hands towards the sky turns his head and says..."What's that Dave?"

I thought Mark Critchley's story of wearing an England top at an anti BNP rally was very funny.

It was brilliant, almost deserving of its own audiobed imo.

Looking forward to the review of Leinster's loss to La Rochelle on tomorrows show, especially the thoughts of Shane 'Leinster are the greatest team to ever play rugby union' Horgan.

Is anyone else getting increasingly annoyed with Ken's ubiquity on all podcasts?

Im not a football fan at all, yet ive increasingly noticed that on every non-football podcast I have to listen to Ken spout 10 minutes of ****e about Chelsea Brighton or Klopp or Stephen Kenny before it gets to rugby, or US Murph or whatever. Theres whole podcasts of Ken pontificating for football fans, and i doubt Simon comes on for 10 mins at the start to discuss Leinster getting bate or who will go on the Lions tour?

The super league stuff transcended Soccer coverage as did peak Delaney controversy last year or two, so i didnt mind that so much, but i find myself now fast forwarding through to about 12 minutes of all non-football pods so i dont have to listen to some inane drivel about soccer.

Bit of a rant. sorry about that lads.

But football stories move much faster than any other sport. I think Ken commenting on the latest football stories on most podcasts is fair otherwise the coverage would be stale. Whereas coverage of the GAA or rugby once a week is more appropriate, and I’m a GAA fan first and foremost.

But do they? Or is it just that there’s more football so more happens?

The super league stuff aside, that was all encompassing and I have no problem with that filtering through the non football pods, or a comment in the build up to a champions league final or whatever. But 90% of football is dross, run of the mill stuff mid season stuff, it’s just that there’s more of it with matches twice weekly vs weekly for GAA and rugby.

It’s the days where there is a football pod, and they bring him on to nause his way through 10 minutes of crap when he has a full hour long pod of his own just is starting to grate on me.

You won't find many here agreeing with you that there should be less Ken. Me included.

I nearly wet myself laughing at the Sum 41 chat today but the outro with Murph feebly singing "In Too Deep" layered over the original was gold
