Who chooses the music library in Kerry radio? I see the breakfast show for example is teen bop music. Perhaps Elaine and her co host want to re live their music era every morning but not every ones taste.
Brendan Fuller rolls out similar, it’s evident it’s one person who does this.
It seems to be the way all stations are going now. I mainly listen to Today fm in work, but its become so boring and the music is just awful now. They moved the only good show with Ed Smith to a much later time and he seemed to be a popular one going by the amount of backlash of comments the station got to moving him.
I don't know why stations want to play the teeny bopper music on repeat all day, but its terrible.

Head of music chooses all the music played on playlisted shows which would be breakfast show, 11 to 1, the afternoon show and any other music one show which isn't a specialist show, Friday drivetime and the like.
They wouldn't be involved with weeknight country shows or country & Irish Sundays (or jazz and trad night shows when they were on pre-pandemic).0 -
