Last night's changes don't count. Hence the day before gameweek, always being the best day to do your team, so that you don't have to anticipate future changes.

I’m a gob****e and it’s long odd-on I’ll make a mistake at some stage of the season. No doubt. Then I’ll drop out (due to the -50 thing). I should just drop out now to save time.

-50 is not for making a mistake. That would be ridiculous. -50 is the score someone gets in a gameweek if they edit their post (regardless of reason) at 11:00 or later (or whatever the applicable deadline is).

These are the rules for if you make a mistake. I do a count fairly early in the GW to make sure everyone's team makes budget, and would adjust people's teams if required, so far I haven't had to do that, ideally I won't.

Ok. I thought that was for a **** up on prices (spending over the amount) or 4 players from a team and so on.

Mad that green&red picked up on my mistake as I don’t even look at the other teams.

Already owning a player (I want for this league) at a previous price point is gonna trip me up at some stage when I’m doing my sums.

None of this is me moaning by the way. Just being honest and open. Maybe shouldn’t be having a peace pipe before I pick my team either but that’s Friday evenings for you.

Yeah I understand. I'm fairly open to changes that make it easier if its something everyone can agree on (which if its genuinely easier we probably will anyway).

For those that are worried about doing this, I’d advise using an excel file rather than the site itself. Having a tab for just the amounts is an easy way to manage the budget.

When I’m doing it, I just stick in the 6 or 7 obvious players that I know I want, aswell as the cheap subs that will play for me. And then tweak around for the value places when I know what I have left to work with.

The reason I do it that way, isn’t for fear of pressing confirm. It’s actually because I’ll have built value in guys in my team so someone like Reece James is showing for me as 5.0 in my team when he’s actually 5.1.

Dunno if that helps people with doing their team or just makes it more complicated, but it defo eliminates the risk of an unwanted 48 point hit.
