Microsoft Project package issue

Hi Everyone,

I have microsoft project disc & product key. It was purchased in Ireland. I now live in north America. Tried downloading it to my laptop & it keeps saying there is an error on the key which I have checked & its not.

My question is are there geographical limits on where it was purchased? I don't want to buy another if there is a workaround?

Thanks in advance for any info on this?

Not likely to be geographically-related. Are you downloading the exact same version of the software? Was it previously installed to the same laptop? The key may be tied to a single installation, you'd need to check the licensing terms

Yep, its the exact same disc etc. It was previously installed in a different computer.

Licence may be associated to the original computer, depending on the terms. Microsoft may allow you to transfer the licence to your new computer, but you'll have to contact them
