Tough. Both great characters, but I'll give it to Jorah for being altogether more likeable as a character.

Varys because he's one of the best characters, one of the best (if not the best) schemer in the series, and f**k that awful despot Dany for executing him.

I'm gonna say jorah. Both have their merits but hey I like a romance and jorahs undying love for his khaleesi was mostly cute (admittedly with a touch of creepiness).

Jorah. Varys was alright in the beginning but they would have been better off killing him while he was still an interesting and useful character and not just tagging along.

Varys The Spider's interactions with Littlefinger were one of the highlights of the early seasons,his subsequent character development I was less enamoured with but he still had a few telling moments in season 8.

Ser Jorah Mormont ever loyal to his object of unrequited love.Pushed away justifiably and unjustifiably,greyscale and all.Cured by Samwell Tarly of all people did not do for me.

The eunuch of Lys all the way.

Jon snow. One of the best. I loved Jon Snow for the most part.

Yara Greyjoy. One of the worst. Couldn't stand her.

Jon Snow was so central to the storyline.Loved his noble principled nature.

The whole parentage thing,the outsider of the Stark family.Big reveal to Sansa was disappointing.

His love of Ygritte.

His difficult time in the Night's Watch under Alliser Thorne,north of the wall with the Wildings.

Resurrection a tad dubious.

His failure to ultimately kill the Night King at the show's death.

I thought it was suited he ultimately went back north of the wall.

Yara had a relatively minor role.She tried to bring out the good in Theon and endeavoured to be a worthy adversary to her uncle Euron.

The man who knows and does nothing!

Joffrey Baratheon is absolutely despicable and I love him all the more for it.

Joffrey for me.

One of the great villians of the show.Jack Gleeson did a splendid job.

A coward behind it all and received an apt ending.

Loved the head of the Stark family ak Sean Bean but only one season before the sword fell on his head.

Not enough show time.

Ned was great but he can't come close to greatest character. He just didn't last long enough. But Joffrey.. he was a right little scrote but he was one hell of a character. Nasty piece of work, evil little face.. oh I have the rage just looking at him. Ned instilled some basic decency in his children but Joffrey filled them with trauma and hate.

Joffrey Baratheon, the boy we loved to hate, really disappointed he didn't last longer in show.
We all need that person to despise and he was cast so perfectly, superb bit of acting.
