And? Kenny Everett was a mad Tory, do you really want to go through the personal lives of random actors?

 It was just an unusual piece of trivia about one of the shows mentioned that I had found interesting, and thought that others might find it interesting too; take a chill pill, Bill

It was tough to think of my favourite three. I chose based on what I can happily dive back into and still laugh out loud.

    Best
    The Office (US)
    Community
    It's Always Sunny

Honourable mentions to Curb, Seinfeld, Cheers, Frasier, Modern Family, The Thick of It, Fawlty Towers.

    Worst
Mrs. Browns Boys (by some distance) how did this rubbish spawn a chat show is beyond me.
Big Bang Theory. It started ok but quickly turned shoite.
2 Broke Girls. What an absolute waste of everyone's time.

Best by a clear mile is obviously Friends. Others would include Father Ted, IT crowd and Frasier.

Worst I'm not sure of, as others have mentioned if I don't like it I don't watch it.

I’m Alan Partridge just outside the top 3

    Worst
    Two and a half men
    2 Broke Girls
The Middle (I’ve seen good reviews for this but anytime I’ve seen it it looks beyond terrible)

    Sitcoms, not documentaries. ;)

Well the BBC gave "my family" 11 seasons....11!

Now there was a laugh free zone. Robert Lindsey is a fine actor too, wasted in that muck.

Best sitcom is Fawlty Towers, no question. The Royle Family and the Office were genuinely groundbreaking. I'm Alan Partridge, Blackadder and the Thick of It were also great. A little known one I'd nominate is Spaced, where Simon Pegg and Nick Frost started off, also featured Jessica Hynes

As for the worst, there have been no shortage of rubbish ones, but Mrs Brown takes the whole packet of biscuits on that front.

Spaced was another great one. Channel 4 produced some decent sitcoms over the years.
