Its not on their FB page yet - loads of folk going to miss out. I was thinking of going in for it, but over 2k entries

Odds wouldn't be great at all....

I can’t see there being a huge profit in it for them at those numbers. £54,875. It’s advertised on autotrader for exactly that price. The raffle quite a lot of cars from that dealer, so trade of 48 possibly?

Edit: 7k is still obviously a good turn if they got it at 48 but not the 30%+ you would normally see

2000 tickets sold in the guts of an hour all the same

Rkings seem to be the only ones who sell all their tickets most others don't seem to.

    wrong car

Thought it was the M4 as the OP never clarified after asking.

Was close to winning the tiguan from a few days ago but yeah that's impressive

Still waiting for a nice classic to come up before I buy a ticket or two. Was tempted by that Defender but didn’t bother in the end. The orange Mini is something you’d be stuck with for a long time if you won it. A nice twincam or Mk2 Escort would have me dust the cobwebs off the wallet!

I was in for the M4 so I watched the draw.
Your man mentioned the mini a few times, saying how it was class and probably the nicest Mini you could see.
I thought it was a horrible looking yoke!

Same here Duke. I did enter the one for the first Yellow RS2000 with the droop snoot. Looked fairly tidy. Had another yellow flat front RS2000 but sold out very quickly before I saw it. Orange Mini was brutal. Couldn't drive that. You'd never sell that. Waiting for some nice classic myself as well.

The mini was terrible. Had it been a john cooper works, i would have been all for it or an abarth500

Have been keeping an eye on this site myself lately and while I agree there are items on there that work out to around the going price for such items, there was a Suzuki GSXR 600 K6 on it this evening which sold out in 50 minutes - £13 pounds for a ticket, 495 tickets avilable. Thats roughly €7200 and these typically go for around €4000 - €4500 on a good day.

The profit made by Rkings has no impact whatsoever on customers buying tickets. I don't know why people keep bringing this up.
If they can get that sort of money they're dead right.
What it comes down to is you paying up to €30 for a ticket, and you might win. What they get for the item makes no difference to you or anyone else at all.

Might throw a ticket in for the white A6 Avant they have up.

Those alloys would have to go though and I'm not sure if a 2.0 TDI would annoy me in a car that size - especially coming from a 3.0 TDI

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,074 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

I don't see the appeal of that A6 at all really, bar the wheels (which aren't standard for it) it looks bog standard and I'd guess possibly ex-police. Seems to be slow enough to sell too compared to previous stuff

This might upset some people but the fear I have for most of those cars is that they're approaching 100k and are modified to the extent that I can picture it being driven the crap out of around an industrial estate.
I find myself leaning towards buying a ticket for phone bundles more than a 4 year old car
