Drug dealers will be going through a difficult period now with their revenues down.

But debts still have to be paid.

We can expect to see a big increase in gangland violence in the coming weeks and months due to unpaid debts.

People will be bored and looking for something to do. Maybe revenues will go up.

That's how the riots will start because the kids "have nothing to do".

They do have something to do. Get demented on drugs. Some of my best days were as a kid plastered on hash/LSD on thre couch.I couldn't leave the house. Certainly no rioting.

We may see the first real disruption in supply of illegal drugs for decades with smuggling routes increasingly cut off.

Organised crime and their clients won't be observing social distancing guidelines, the dregs of our society are going to be an even bigger risk to the rest of us as virus vectors than they already are.

They could start home deliveries? People need something to take their mind of things in these stressful times, theyll make a killing! Lines out the door here in the legal marijuana shops. I think people we afraid they were included in the shutdown of non essential business but apparently they arent and will stay open.

They make knock anything that's snorted on the head for awhile. Can't be passing around a dirty fiver covered in COVID-19, it'll **** up the lockdown.

Next up on AMA. Now you're talking to: a down on his luck drug dealer.

Tbh they probably have the largest supply of latex gloves outside of the medical profession.

Do they not get a payment holiday,?

Wonder will they suffer in actually managing to get drugs into the country, now?

Could be a god-send for people addicted. Forced cold turkey.

    Why?
Have they close for the safety of their staff and customers due to Covid-19?

If Weed and Heroin in particular runs out in the next week it won't be long till anarchy breaks out, far more alcohol will be consumed, expect burglaries and joyriding, fighting and localised disturbances to go through the roof.

At least we are letting more of them out of prison to come join the Cocooning fun, that was a great idea.

Leo is a genius leader i would have never thought of that move, can see it paying dividends in the long run.

All joking aside, the reduction in daily street life means junkies will by necessity become more desperate for robbed funds and items to feed the habit. I'd be concerned about amateurish or violent burglaries, particularly targetting older people isolated at home. So please check the security measures of your neighbours and loved ones.

As for the dealers and suppliers, I can't decide whether whats happening now is going to be really really good for the drugs business or really really bad.

    A) the pubs and bookies are mostly closed or there is nothing to bet on, so there will be more money for drugs available

Or B) the shock of half a million people suddenly going on welfare reduces the demand for overpriced middle class coke and suddenly the big dogs at the top don't get paid and the whole structure collapses.

One way or another, it won't be pretty.

I wouldn't expect any large reduction of drugs into the country.

Most international shipping for regular food and goods is working as usual. The ports will remain fully functional and this is where drugs are smuggled in.

In other news I’ve thought of a way that could stop covid-19 spreading

I think you’d agree that you wouldn’t be able to touch your face.

Thank, share and ask why nobody else, especially posh boy Harris thought of this.

Its noticeable in Dublin City centre with the lack of tourists and workers, drug addicts are making up a larger percentage of those walking the streets as they look to source their gear mostly heroin.
Its similar in rural Ireland, youngsters driving to local car parks buying cocaine off drug dealers , travellers have the rural Ireland cocaine market carved up among themselves and authorities seem to be powerless in stopping their operations corona virus or no corona virus.

I work with addicts and we keep an emergency supply of heroin for anyone who needs it.

Are they washing their hands five times a day do you think?

A place I work in would have a lot of traveller clientele, one lad who had to attend recently was sitting down with us getting a cup of tea, and he picked up the milk jug by putting his thumb into the spout of the jug, his hands were mank , there was an instant consensus that the milk was gone off and all tea was put down the sink

Clandestine handshakes exchanging money and bags etc are a thing of the past. Only dealers who take PayPal from now on. It's the local scumbags who'll be hit most

The move to cashless everything is going to make paying for, and indeed consuming certain drugs (coke) quite complicated for a few months I would think.

Until the dealers get their hands on a portable payment terminal.

Will be interesting to see if relatives of travellers infected and in need of hospitalisation, will flock to A+E as they usually do?

The army might be needed to keep the extended families out, hospital staff will be under enough pressure without having to negotiate wards ( pun not intended) crammed with the extended family of tinkers admitted

My brother lives in Berlin and he told me the guy he buys his weed off is also selling hand sanitiser and face masks :pac:
