How do you deal with conflict?

Usually by ignoring it. Then if the other person persists, clock them one in the chin;)

What is your earliest childhood memory?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,327 ✭✭✭Loveinapril

Being left in playschool and clinging to my mam's leg as she tried to leave.

Have you got a favourite item of clothing?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,014 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

My fake fur coat that only comes out at Christmas.

Do you ever buy fresh flowers for your home?

Every week atm, I buy them in Aldi, cheap but very cheerful.

What was the highlight of your week?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,327 ✭✭✭Loveinapril

Genuinely listening to my three year old's nonsense chatter. He is such craic!

Have you had a Covid test?

What was the highlight of your week?

Today. I am not letting the kids go trick or treating tomorrow so instead I bought a lot of stuff for my own & just two friends. Made them a big bag of trick or treats so they don't feel like they have missed out. Gave one friend hers tonight & she was delighted! Actually the kids made the bags themselves so that was fun to watch too.

Do you have a spooky plans for tomorrow?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭jimbobaloobob

No spooky plans and thankfully no need to date for a Covid test.

Have you seen the waves in the news off Mullaghmore this week?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,200 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Yes. It's more like Bondi beach (without the good weather)

When was the last time you were on a picnic?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,014 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

During lockdown, it wasn't a picnic per se but a trek through fields and the river with snacks on our back.

How is your sense of direction?

Last Sunday, within my 5km, just flask of coffee and homemade cakes, me sitting in my car and my friend in hers, a covid picnic lol.

    Last thing you bought online?

Is nostalgia a good or a bad thing, in your opinion?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,913 ✭✭✭Gregor Samsa

Harmless in small doses, stifling when it becomes an impediment to progress. It’s good to remember the past, but you should never forget the future.

Do you prefer to sleep in total darkness, or with a bit of light?

Do you prefer to sleep in total darkness, or with a bit of light?

Yes I would much prefer total darkness, like vampire dark. I have 2 kids though who like a little light from the bathroom and we would always keep our door open in case they got up in the night so I will have to bide my time before my craving for blackness becomes a reality. In the meantime, I can always take solace from my dark black soul, muhahahaha

Once lockdown is over, which country would you most like to visit?

My first trip will be back to Italy hopefully.

Do you ever have breakfast in bed?

I'm having pre-breakfast in bed now - coffee & galaxy chocolate.
The other half us not here so I can get away with it

What do you see when you look to your left?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,913 ✭✭✭Gregor Samsa

My sleeping 7 year old daughter who refused to go to sleep last night, as she wanted to wait up until midnight to “see the stars”. She came down to us at 0:15 full of chat, so we ended up bringing her into our bed, where she kept chatting about living on Mars, and of course she’s knackered now. As am I.

How many languages can you say hello in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Snails pace

Three, languages wouldn't be my strongest area

Do you treat yourself to something nice for breakfast on a Saturday morning?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,021 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

No, just the usual coffee and breakfast bar

Do you think there will be a 'border poll' on a united Ireland before 2030?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭jimbobaloobob

No I don’t see it happening.

    Do you like to cook?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,200 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Not really. I can cook, but only average tbh.

Are you a fan of the metric system?

What's the most dangerous situation you've been in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭Upforthematch

Trapped in the car, shudder even thinking about it.

    What's your feel good film?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,014 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

    Love Actually.

Do you like Halloween toffee apples?

Had a bite of one about a week ago from one of my kids. It was really nice but I wouldn't eat a whole one.
(*edit: just realised it was actually a chocolate apple. Dont think I'd allow them to eat a toffee one.)

Did you see any children out trick or treating tonight??

    Not one around here.

Any bangers going off in your area?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,645 ✭✭✭SineadSpears

How did you feel when fireworks were made illegal?

When I worked shift work, I snuck(?) through a red light a couple of times. 2.30am with not a soul around, I felt like there wasn't much point me waiting there.

Do you think I should have waited?

No. One spends long enough waiting in this life.
