No, I have never driven a tractor.

When did you last buy a newspaper or magazine?

My wife asked me to get a Sunday newspaper some time last year. I said it was basic just buying recycling. Haven’t bought one since. Apart from those magazines with all the tat you get for kids, I haven’t bought a magazine in about 10 years.

How many times a year to you change your toothbrush?

Every 2 months. I don't know if that's good or bad!

What era would you time travel back to?

Are you a regular library user?

No, I should read more but I find it puts me to sleep quite easily!

If you could time travel where would you go to?

2022, after all this Covid ****e has settled down. But I'd make sure I kept one foot inside the time machine until I was certain I didn't have to head on to 2023 or 2024.

Do you ever fantasise about being the only human left on the planet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Snails pace

Eh no, I haven't and it sounds miserable.

Do you use imperial or metric measurements?

Mostly imperial, metric when I'm monitoring how fast I'm driving though

No, I'm a sucker for savoury food.

What's the weirdest thing you've eaten?

Jelly fish in a restaurant in Singapore. My host (a client) insisted I try the local delicacy...and I was too polite to say no. It was gross.

    Have you a strong stomach?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,013 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

No, I gag and wretch very easy. I definitely couldn't work in health care.

Do you try support local businesses?

No. I work across drawn lines.
( Not 100% on spelling of drawn here ...)
Is a molecule of water wet?

No, no more than it's icy or steamy. The wetness we perceive in water or any liquid is a result of its viscosity, and to have viscosity, you need to have multiple molecules.

What's the most heroic thing you've ever done?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,068 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

Fought off bag snatchers for a onetime girlfriend.

If you were in a really big and well stocked cake shop right now - what would you buy?

Positively. Our company organised the tax break for us for working from home. Saving a lot on diesel (has a 45km motorway round trip commute before) and childminding (3 kids). Still wish it would end, though. My dad died from it in May.

    Who is your hero?

My female blood line. My mum, grandmothers and others. Each were very strong ladies in different ways.

Is it OK when the end justifies the means?

Yes, though as long as positive moral considerations are at the forefront of decisions.

Did Steve McQueen ever take a bullitt for the Marines?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

Yes he did but Rotten Tomatoes aren't sure +/- 3%.

I never priced one in a while

    Do you love Fridays ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,913 ✭✭✭Gregor Samsa

Pizza for dinner, I won't have to make the school lunches tonight and in work we have "no meetings Fridays", so I guess they're better than the other 4 weekdays, but I really hate those people who greet you with ""Morning! It's Friiiiiidaaaaay!", so that happening cancels all the good stuff out.

What was the best birthday present you ever got?

  • Registered Users Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Snails pace

A tool kit from my parents for my 21st birthday. I love using it every day.

Do you like getting gift cards for your birthday?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,117 ✭✭✭talla10

What's the biggest celebration of the year in your family?

Christmas. Although I tried to convince the kids that my birthday (today) is International Gregor Day, and that people all around the world celebrate it with parades in my honour, and that they were sending astronauts up to write my name across the moon. They got very concerned that this wouldn’t be organised in time, so I had to tell them I was joking.

How many teeth do you have?
