Worst Ex on Netflix is brilliant. 4 absolutely mental cases, 1 hour each, not the arse dragged out of it over 4 hours like most of the true crime stuff.

    On National Geographic recently.

Cursed Gold: A Shipwreck Scandal was good, about an attempt to salvage gold from a sunken ship in the 1980s… that was still in the courts decades later. 3 episodes.

Killer Lies: Chasing a True Crime Con Man. This is about an online group who started scrutinising the claims of a French serial killer expert. It started well, but there was only really enough content for 90 minutes, and it was stretched out into 3 episodes. You could probably watch the first 2 episodes and you'd have the essentials.

Watched Cursed Gold, enjoyed it, was a big accomplishment to make the discovery with such a limited budget in the late 80's when commercial GPS was at its infancy and probably looking at an accuracy of 30-50 metres. You have to wonder if the legal actions about the discovery didn't happen what other valuable shipwrecks could have been discovered by him.

While looking for the documentary I found another called Gold, Lies & Videotape on Discovery+, it's about the search for a massive amount of gold bars within a mountain thought to have been hidden there by Native Indians in the 1800's. It's 6 episodes, rather drawn out but an interesting watch.

Stumbled across a klf documentary on the dodgy box the other night- highly recommended for something offbeat.

Yeah that's a great one, won a few awards I think. Certainly propelled the KLF back in the mainstream. Have heard some of their tunes around the place which definitely wouldn't have been a thing a few years ago. Had totally vanished.

Considering the ongoing war in the ME, I decided to watch Storyville : The Gatekeepers on BBC iplayer.

Interviews with 6 ex-heads of the Israeli intelligence agency Shin Bet.

Excellent insight into how they operated and their thoughts now on the entire mess that is the relationship between the protagonists.

Couple of very interesting things stood out for me. One was a method they used to kill one of their most wanted, and the second is the opinion of a few of these men, considering what they probably done in their roles.

New 4-part docuseries, Churchill at War. Available December 4. Surely it can work without a need for actors.

There's an excellent doc on Blur: To the End which has just been released culminating in their gig at Wembley Stadium in 2023, an interesting insight into the band.

Who killed Jon Benet Ramsey on Netflix is very good. Well put together. I've seen a few docs on this case but this is probably the best.
