Indeed so its probably more and maybe even multiples more to do what, make a worse show? because recreating that chemistry built over 11 yearz will be impossible.

As you day the 3 lads were a massive part of what made the show so good, the format and culture are key as well but it all revolved around them.

Im only on episode 2 but so far im not a fan of Melissa, theres nothing natural about her it all just seems a bit forced

I thought she did ok last night in the elimination challenge, first time I thought she could fit in.

You might want to stay away from those instagram/twitter links that the show keeps showing for the contestants. From what I've read, it is pretty easy to find out who is no longer in the show. Surprised they didn't put something in place to prevent this.

Up to date now. Harsh on the person who went home though (even though their interaction with Andy at the end was hilarious) :)

Really warming to Jock too. He seems to be a great guy. Not sure I'd want to be in his kitchen if things are going to hell though!
(Probably the same with any three hat or michelin star chef...)

    Great season so far!

Another week down. I'm up to date (as of Sunday's elimination episode).
I think I expected that person to get much further.

Garry George and Matt who? The new judges are excellent. I may even prefer them. :o

Just wasn’t his day. You could tell Andy was thrilled to be sending him home.

The auction was such a feel-good episode. The bidding was lots of fun and the reaction of the winner was fantastic. :)

It was good. Didn't like the previous episode with the crowd. Too noisy imo

Serving up a crisp sandwich in an elimination

Open sandwich with home made crisps with nice toppings. :)

I was more  at the idea when he said he was trying it.
    The execution was :D

    Katy Perry on this week!

  • Registered Users Posts: 55,462 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Twists week is pretty savage.... I think the pressure test twist was cruel (especially in a baking challenge) and the casualty was a big surprise.
She made a rod for her own back by changing the order.

Pulled at the heartstrings though... :(

The Katy Perry episode was amazing. Loved it. She's hilarious. :)

I had such a low expectation. Thought she’d be a gimp.
But she was brilliant. genuinely very funny. And very honest with her opinion too.

She was a riot. I thought it was hilarious when she kept looking straight at the camera :D

Odd that there seemed to be a few of the contestants missing from upstairs during the challenge and back during the master class.

Really enjoyed twist week, can't wait to see the elimination from today

    Brief mention of
    Ben being gone
in the elimination and it was business as usual. Do think I read what the arrest was for?

    Sorry to see
    Hayden
    go, I quite liked them.

Yeah that exit was definitely a surprise. Thought he would go further.

    As for
    Ben
    , I can't find any concrete info.

I thought Hayden’s exit was due.
I like him, he’s good. But with eliminations now you have to be fairly good at everything.

Reynolds apple pie looked unreal. Being a dessert specialist is a huge advantage. As they feature a lot in eliminations.

I am a little sceptical on that dessert. It was impressive, but I get the feeling that a lot of what is in this season is for show and that this is something that was prepared and practiced for this episode. This season is feeling a little bit scripted for some reason.

He owns a dessert bar. I imagine it's a concept he has in his mind and doen the cigar work before. But I don't think that the same as practicing for the episode tbh.
Even home cooks have idea to try knocking about their brain. Don't we?

I assume they don't know what the challenges are in advance.
If he had that dish in his repetoire, then that's the same as Laura having a pasta dish up her sleeve or Simon having a veggie dish up his sleeve.

Unfortunately it's pretty bad. He's been charged with sexual assault. It occurred on a weekend while the show was filming.
“Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have charged a man following an incident in the Docklands earlier this year,”

“The arrest follows an investigation into an alleged sexual assault in Docklands on 23 February. A 36-year-old Queensland man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault."

Seems to have gotten a bit of coverage over the last couple of days. Victim was only 16

We had a look the other day and could only find a hint that it was drugs. Blimey. He has a couple of young kids too!

16 makes sense. I was wondering why the child abuse unit were named as involved, but it was a assault charge.

Weird that it only came out today. He was charged months ago.

People should probably also wait for details to come out (or the court case tbf) before rushing to lynch him.

Think I saw June 25th mentioned for a court appearance.
