Can see it with the bino's from the upstairs window. A big white bird, way up high in the sky.

Some of you aspiring pilots might want to check your crosswind calculations. Hint R26 has a bearing of 264 degrees.

Pretty sure I’m the only person who used the word crosswind, in reference to the 0700 METAR I posted, which reported the wind at 290°, i.e. “a 30° crosswind”

I don't follow that logic at all. They are obviously worth a lot as spare parts as well. Who owns them though?

The engines are worth way more as a full operational unit than they would be in spares. The reason is their age. If it was 15-20 years old yes worth more as spares, being 10 years old then the ability to place it on a wing overnight.

Usually the engine manufacturer themselves or a leasing company.
The leasing company is Dr Peters though.

Is it the RR or Engine Alliance on these planes, I wonder?

There are separate leasing companies for the engines who also look after any servicing/engine change etc contracts.

I dont think Knock would have a feed. Maybe one of the spotters is doing a Facebook live video.

They certainly have disassembled some engines for parts. Why do you think not in this case?
Removing the rotables and dissembling the engine are different thing.
