Does Boys Don't Cry qualify? It didn't chart in Ireland, US or UK on its original release.

Its a quality tune, so I say let it through

I do love Boys Don't Cry, but since Hold The Line was my nomination, if Boys Don't Cry shouldn't be eligible I'm in favour of it being knocked out and Toto going through by default... just sayin...

Lust for Life was the same, it didn't chart until the 90s, but it wasn't excluded. So for consistency I don't think this should be disqualified either.

I'd be in favour of allowing the through two based on the fact that they were both originally released in the 70s, even if they didn't make the top 40 at the time and that they both had a considerable number of votes.

It's a bit different to Daft Punk being disqualified in the noughties thread because it was released in 97.

Match 37: Iggy Pop (I like both but The Passenger a bit more - including one super cover from Siouxsie and the Banshees)
Match 38: Chic (not my favourite Chic song, but I vote because of Nile Rodgers)
Match 39: Dolly Parton (I never got the love for Pink Floyd, plus it's Dolly!!)
Match 40: no vote, I'm not a big fan of either of them

No vote for the other two.

There are six matches left in the qualifiers, so I'm planning on putting the final six up in the next while and then starting Round 1 late tonight or tomorrow at some stage, probably not until lunchtime I reckon
