As I expected this was hyped up far beyond what it needs to be. Its a bit wet and a bit windy. I was absolutely fine coming to work this morning. Two lazy employees decided to take "the safe option" and stay at home. One of them is on their 2nd official warning. Seriously considering letting them go.

I hope they take you to the cleaners mate. It’s their perogative during an Orange. And the employment tribunal will see that.

Said poster has similar form during previous storms. Makes me grateful to work with an organisation that leave the decision entirely up to their own staff with no consequences whatsoever. A common occurring theme as people try to make a decision seems to be fear of repercussions.

Stone age Autocratic type management that hurts company performance in the medium to long run.

Hang on in there... you are in a very exposed place. Scary out here too now frankly. \Dwelling shaking.

Just hang on in there. It really is bad. Normal to react as you are doing.

You should let them go. To many people jumping on the weather warning bandwagon.

That bandwagon has legal protection. So no, he shouldn’t.

Very nasty at the moment in Fermoy.

Some very severe gusts with pressure reading 986.

Thought it only was their perogative during a Red warning?

Stay indoors. Please. It is dangerous out there.

This first 10 miles of the Galway-Dublin motorway is notoriously windy at the best of times. It suffers bad cross winds. It will be fine once you get further inland.

Not by my reckoning going the opposite direction. Bus in front wobbling all over the place, didn,t pass him intil the toll at Cappataggle. Take care, keep it under control & you should be OK.

Sat indoors, outside the door of work now(not working). Debating whether to head into the city or stay put here until shift starts. Windy enough out there.
