RGIII time in Baltimore. 3rd string QB Trace McSorley a rookie from Penn State might see some action too.

Was several years since the Ravens carried 3 QBs on the roster but McSorley deserved his roster spot with a good pre-season

Very little to set the pulse racing apart from 9ers at Seattle. It's a pity there's so little at stake.

But that's gonna be something. Last game between them was a classic.

Maybe it's my anti-Dolphins bias as a Jets fan but Marino making the NFL 100 team is just wrong. Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers are much better QB's that are currently playing. Marino should have been nowhere near that top 10. Seriously no Joe Namath, who was on the panel?

I know this is not actual week 17 discussion but it just happened and I didn't see an NFL100 thread.

I would have thought Marino features in far more conversations about GOAT quarterbacks than Namath.

Bradshaw is also a surprising omission, four Superbowl wins and 2 of those as MVP. They only have so many spots I guess.

The whole thing seemed like a complete shambles, like every NFL voted list. They make a mess on an annual basis for the pro bowl, when they only have to look at a few weeks so they're never getting a 100 year list right.

Spent more time thinking about these than any other week. So many games you have to factor which team has something to play for, and if they don't, which team is fielding fully. Example: going for the Bears because the Vikings are resting the whole team because they've nothing to gain (technically neither do the Bears but a .500 season would sure feel a lot better than a losing one if you're in that building). Pretty sure that holds true in a lot of these games. Shame there's so little at stake this week alright, very unusual end to the season.

I would have thought Marino features in far more conversations about GOAT quarterbacks than Namath.

I saw the Manning TB/BB conversation last night. Left it there. Like, if you're throwing out a 10 it's always gonna be weighted more recent than anything. I didn't know Bradshaw from a pov of watching him so didn't think about him or make it until I read This thread so yeah... For me as it were, it would be:
    Rodgers
    Manning P
    Brees
    Elway
    Brady
    Jim Kelly
    Favre
    Marino
    Montana
    Aikman
    Warner...

And that exactly shows recency bias...

It also shows that the top 5 are indivisible and also it's a top 11...

On a personal level, Rodgers astounds me constantly and I wish BB got to use him; but Brees and Peyton have always disgusted me at their play action shít. They both made me fall in love with the NFL tbh.

Watching TB and Bill last night wax Lyrical about Peyton was just something. Brady is great but he's also such a lucky son of a bitch.

Imagine the pats with Brees or Peyton... Christ.

    Anyway...

I made my picks for week 17 two days ago but I made them without taking into account the fact that with teams not playing for anything that teams might not play to full strength. I'll go through my picks tomorrow morning and see if I need to change any picks.

This is an ideal week to try redzone for the first time.

Well not exactly. I always found it way too distracting to watch it chopping back and forth. So usually give up quickly enough. But sticking with it tonight... for the 6pm games anyway.

Terrible throw by Brady. Thought we were safe from the Dolphins this year!
