Very sad news today that Fausto Gresini has passed.

A double world champion and founder of the team 'Gresini'.

Success across all classes including championship wins with the late Daijiro Kate, Tony Elias and Jorge Martin.

Moto GP wins and podiums with Sete Giberneau ,Marco Melandri, the late Marco SimoncellI , Kate and Elias all aboard their Gresini Hondas.

    Fausto Gresini RIP

The Aprilla Moto GP launch took place earlier this afternoon and included a tribute to Fausto Gresini. Faustos name is on the aerofoils on the front aeros.

Tomorrow, March 5th sees the Moto GP rookies and test riders take to the track for the first time with all riders on track from Saturday.

Looking forward to an early indication of pace - KTMS claim that they have not produced a big bang engine is being dismissed by a number of respected commentators......

In other news Hungary have signed a contract to host Moto GP from 2023.

Aprilia seem to be doing well. Aleix 2nd highest avg lap time over the whole test. Vinales fastest.

Marc Marquez still not ruled out for Qatar start!

Day 4 highlights. Morbidelli still faster than Quartararo.

Anyone know who the reporter is?

Marc getting some pre season warm up laps in on the road version of his race bike.

I'd love to see him back for the start of the season but not unless he is 100.00%

So apparently Marc had a flying visit to Qatar yesterday to get his covid vaccine.

I'd do it myself if I could. He's right.

Yea it's a strange one. Aprilia already have a surplus of riders. I wonder how Smith and Savadori feel about it?

Can't see him back in 2021, maybe he's doing it with a view to 2022. Surely the's too old for that?

Gavin Emmet taking over as lead commentator on BT Sport, a good choice in my opinion.

Natalie Quirk taking over his old roll.

Marc out for the first two rounds anyway.

I presume Bradl will replace him? It's a bummer but no great surprise.

Rossi's TWENTY SIXTH season start!! Most of the grid hadn't even been born when he was already there.

It's some feat in fairness. He has said he'd like to do some more years once he is competitive. He might race until he is 46 :D

You are not seeing things, that is Valentino Rossi in 4th!, though he did get a tow from Bagnaia. Don't know how Morbidelli will feel about that or Ducati for that matter.

Aleix was on for front row until last section on last run.

Really looking forward to tomorrow's race.

They are human after all. I don’t know why but I do like to see a more everyday side to these superstars.

Binder/McPhee looking good for Moto 3,Lowes for Moto 2 ,Moto GP - I can say with certainty that Savadori will not get a podium !

Beyond that, the Yams need to break away otherwise the Dukes will repass them all day long on the straights, Morbidelli and the Suzukis have race pace , Aleix will be hero or zero - probably zero.

Going to be a great race with the Ducatis coming out on top is my best guess.

Delighted to be watching the whole first day for the first time in years. This race feels wide open, great quali from rossi. Quatararo and morbidelli I'll be watching I think. Ducati power will be interesting
