A word of advice on the "Repair" or "Side street" shops in town. These phones are often sourced via fraudulent insurance claims in different countries. e.g phone purchased in England, insurance claim is made there then its blacklisted from UK networks but will still work in Ireland or any other countries...

I've bought one in the last two years in a popular shop on liffey street, I obtained the documentation saying it was reported stolen in UK and brought it back to them and I've never seen somebody scramble so fast to give me a replacement/refund.

There is no issue with buying iPhones from Argos, if you have any issues just go directly to apple.

Think its more to do with the consumer law being directly with Apple.

Apologies, didn't want to cause any concern with Argos for anyone but I had issues in the past with Samsung S3 and S4. Both had to be returned and took over 4 weeks to be resolved due to phones having to be returned to the UK to be inspected/repaired.

Amazon.de has certain colours available to order for €555, comes to about €582 after VAT. Doesn't dispatch until December 15th but due to be delivered by 21st. Perfect for me as I can't really afford the full price yet but it's a solid price. There won't be any issues buying a phone from Germany will there? I saw they were available yesterday for around €600 before VAT but they went quickly but glad I waited. Left it on an old card option anyway in case I change my mind so I don't get stuck.

Just checked again, already down to a couple left in white and yellow.

Just a warning about ordering from Amazon.de at present.

There might be long delays as one of the large trade unions in Germany are currently in dispute with Amazon, and many of the fulfilment centres staff in Germany are on strike until next Tuesday.

I ordered one of these yesterday and it is now being dispatched early and should arrive early next week. I now need to return the one I bought from apple. It hasn’t arrived yet. Anyone know are apply returns free?
