While we wait for these to resolve, I will post the last 2 of the night. Will round up the scores in the morning.

Seether - broken 3 Vs 5 Glorious - Andreas Johnson
    4 Non-Blondes - What's Up 2 Vs 4 Charles and Eddy - Would I Lie To You

Seether. Glorious' singer is whiny af.

    R 2 Match 17

The Primitives – Crash (a decent song, the other one just annoys the fcuk out of me)

    R 2 Match 18

The J. Geils Band - Centerfold ( i could listen to that while drinking whiskey)

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

Crash - I adore this song, it makes it on to nearly all of my playlists, and its a shame its up against Blue, because this could potentially be the end of the line for a great tune.

Centerfold - because my blood runs cold... and that Sugar Ray song is crap.

#17 - Crash - I'd vote for almost anything ahead of Blue, which I despise and which will probably prevail anyway. :( Nonetheless Crash is quite a nice track and one I was unfamiliar with before the contest, so thanks to whoever nominated it Zaph for introducing me.

#18 - Centrefold - Going for the less bad option here, although on listening to Every Morning again it's actually not quite as terrible as I thought it was (not enough to redeem it though!)

    Crash
    Centerfold

Both good songs up against terrible ones :p

R 2 Match 17 - Eiffel 65 - Blue. Get in to the next round!! You don't need to explain yourself.

R 2 Match 18 - The J. Geils Band - Centerfold. Close call as not a massive fan of either song but this one gets it as it less whiny than the other.

    Match 17

Crash. Great song, one of my nominations and that Blue song is one of the biggest streaming piles of sh*the ever unleashed on an unsuspecting public.

    Match 18

Centrefold. One of the best songs of the early 80s.

Crash and Centerfold also. Two good songs, the others are just pure cheese lets be honest

    17. Crash, even though parts of Blue are catchy.

    18. Centrefold, because the other thing is crap.

You know yourself why you didn't expect it to get through. It's Garbage (and not of the early 90's soft rock band variety).

Vote - Kung fu fighting its one of the best novelty songs of all time

I wouldn't call the band Garbage "soft rock". Alternative rock or electro-rock maybe, wouldn't say there's anything soft about them though; I'd say Shirley Manson would give you a smack if you told her she was a soft rock singer! :p

Crash is a phenomenal tune and rightly deserved to get through.

I only thought it wouldn't get through because there's been far too many poor decisions being made by people and quality songs have been falling by the wayside in favour of far inferior tripe. Some people are finally starting to see sense obviously.

    Ah that's a bit harsh, I mean....

    ...actually, never mind.

Yeah when it was up against Flock Of Seagulls... I Ran should've gotten through and we all know it... To say I was angry over that result would be an understatement.

Could be a future competition, the worst songs, and you vote to save a song you like from advancing. Songs with lowest numbers of votes proceed to next round.

Cos it's like that and that's the way it is.

Won't be upset if Breakfast at at Tiffany's gets through though.

    Check this out!

I Touch Myself - it's just a far better song at the end of the day. Sorry Monty Python.

Breakfast At Tiffany's - some people seem to really hate it, but it was at one stage during the nineties my favourite song for several years, and will always be a classic in my eyes.
