Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't see England turning this around. Six points is a big lead in a game so close. And not sure they deserve to. Even SA's back-play looks better. And England having to defend so narrow to counteract SA's physicality has allowed huge overlaps on the wings.

But NZ easily dispatched of SA with their 'lesser forward pack'.

In reality it's knock out rugby, and it all comes down to who performs on the day.
NZ, as they say, can play any game. They are not so hot on the fronting up stuff but it doesn't matter as they can get the ball going from anywhere. England have got that interlinked platform but it's not working at all today, SA will grind all day long, but they can play too.

Agreed .... assuming a team has the players, ability, training etc much of it comes down to confidence/motivation on the day.

That old cliche applies here. Next score is massive.

Seems like you know little enough about the sport if you think that.

I know loads about the sport. More than you clearly.

Youngs has been brutal at scrum half today. Shocking passing

They're a converted try away from taking the lead, they were inches away last time.

    Still a 50/50 game.

I wouldn't be parting with any money betting on this.

It only takes a split second opportunity for the likes of May to change this.

I do hope you're right! There'll be no listening to England if they win.

Can see England shipping more penalties at scrum time esp when SA subs come on

England will lose this if that is their plan!

Elliott Daly is an actual liability to England. He should be taken off.

Cup rugby sir. Move outside a converted try with a penalty.

England need a few injuries to front rowers for no contest scrums.

I don't think it's been boring at all. It hasn't been fast flowing, but it's a different type of skillful display, more of an arm wrestle of a game. It's what South Africa do best.

Some might call it ugly, but it clearly works well.

England were weirdly nervous from minute one. Its been a bizarre performance from them.

Indeed, but Ireland with a lesser pack would have even a lower chance against SA than NZ. Performance on the day would never make up the gap between the current Eng or SA eights. Against NZ, it can just about.

England need to get ford off immediately.

He's hiding out there. Two tip on passes in that phase resulting in a turn over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,136 ✭✭✭✭is_that_so

All SA, even England going forward.

Sa front row is pummeling England now. It’s fantastic.

SA got the benefit of the doubt there...

Marler can compete with the SA scrum, but Cole on the other side is toast

    Never a penalty against England.

Garces has made up his mind on the scrums now.

    South Africa getting booed.

Typical of English supporters. No sportsmanship at all. They should boo their own team for a shocking display

    South Africa getting booed.
England fans frustrated that their own team is playing so badly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,017 ✭✭✭SharpshooterTom

Still think England will win this somehow.

Its been their year in sport, only have to look at the luck they got at the cricket world cup final where they somehow dug that out.

SA have been completely dominant in the scrum but struggling to understand that call
