Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Farrell is hobbling. Hope he can last till HT.

England playing like us in 2018 with addition of offloads, and it's seriously impressive. Shows how we should have evolved our game from last year.

England are playing the kind of pressure game Ireland used against them last November. What a difference a year makes

NZ very unsettled, they are there for the taking. But England have to put a score on here because there are more gears in NZ I fancy.

Closest thing to an NFL player in the game. Outstanding.

    Good comparison
    Athletic
    Loud
    And Obnoxiously confident

It kind of is a reminder of how this is another level above Ireland.

    We were delusional again.

The self-hating is dull to read and I've found most of the chatter in the media this week about "pace" and "offloads" and "the gameplan" pretty vapid and reactionary. But... it's striking just how much more effective England are basically playing our basic template (when we're not bizarrely mentally shattered) against NZ with the ability to offload added.

Our game was very good until the 6N this year. Too late then to create a new one.

NZ have always hated chasing games and it’s generally when they’re at their most vulnerable. You could see the look on Hansens face earlier

you should back eng on the handicap so. would make good money

I backed them to win tournament. Tuilagi was at good odds to score first try. Think as far out as 22-1. Kicking myself on that one.

Crazy to see the amount of mistakes from NZ from English pressure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,268 ✭✭✭✭MadYaker

Odd decision to go for the drop goal there?

England has great position on the field there and looked like they didn't know what to do. Bizarre.

They are not being allowed to play, no possession and pressure is forcing errors.

We're adults here, the shinner stance is not obligatory.

So flogging a dead horse is adult behavior? Ireland's head coach is gone. Maybe the bloody moaners should follow another team, just like in the soccer.
The tripe on here is exactly childish, adults put the past (and it is the past) behind them and move on with their lives.

Looking for every opportunity to bad mouth your own team, well you know what, I don't actually have a word for that.

England need another try before HT. So little return from all their pressure

Very early days and only 7 points up so they are well in it. They are under pressure but NZ play till the 92nd minute if needed.

I don’t see it happening. If Farrell has a knock it might change things. Seems like he might have one but just think England are the much better team.

Hamstring gone for Farrell. Trying to nurse it.

If NZ get any score before half time would have them strong favourites to go on and win it. England had to get more points on the board for all their excellent play.

    If it's a hamstring there's no nursing, I'd hope it's just a deadener.

But not enough points on the board yet.

Half time worst thing for England now . If it stays
    7-0 it’s not a great return for England’s pressure .

NZ come out 2nd half and get first score it’s a different game

Eh, that's not the point he's making.

And you'll have seen me say early on that there's plenty of other threads for criticism of Ireland instead of here.

England low point tally not an issue, they're suffocating NZ.

The only thing going for N.Z. here is the low scoreline. England have them rattled.

Hard to do for a full match and NZ will have chances. A second try would be more challenge for them to get back into it.

Need to take 3 points here

It's an issue because NZ can score from anywhere at any time, they've shown that against everyone.

    take the 3 here surely

England have been good enough...making mistakes too and seem to out of ideas upfront. Think 7 points up is going to interesting in the second half.
They will need to bring something else in the last quarter.

Perfect first half from England there. Look very much in control.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,239 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

i imagine the talk will be england dominated, silly NZ mistakes but only a small lead. NZ will come flying out

Its like New Zealand were expecting another rubbish team to turn up. England hot favourites at this point. New Zealand are been beaten in nearly every aspect.
