    Hi,

A little premature, perhaps, but I'm going to be in the market for a 38/357 lever action rifle in the new year - probably January (or possibly earlier if a good deal comes my way). Anyone on here looking to sell one, or point me in the right direction?

    Cheers

    Lads

I've cleared up some posts. Years ago the for sale section was inundated with posts of "try this dealer" or "try that dealer". It was a free for all with word of mouth and no actual guarantee the dealer had said item.

As such we implemented a rule (back in 2012) where anyone wishing to recommend a dealer to the OP must provide the following:
    1. That the RFD has the EXACT item (not close to or similar, but the exact item)
    2. A link to the RFDs website, Facebook page or any link to the item to show it's in stock
This means we [the mods] remove posts without the above two requirements. It seems harsh or unfair, but we want a low noise to signal ratio in the for sale section.

There is also the issue of this being a private forum and for private sales. Google will give anyone searching for stuff far more results and in order to keep the for sale section (one of if not the last, and free, bastions for selling firearms) up and running we don't want it to turn into a sub section of Google with nothing but RFD recommendations.

So in summary by all means recommend an RFD, but if the rules above are not adhered to the posts will be removed.

If you see a problem post use the report post function. Click on the three dots on the post, select "FLAG" & let a Moderator deal with it.

A guy called JB88 has had a marlin for sale here. I don't think he's sold it yet.
