I wonder what the inside of a really good scavenger magpie's nest looks like. Assuming it's true that they collect shiny things?
Maybe that's where my 2 odd earrings, necklace, and bracelet are.

TH richly associative thought aka daydreaming with pasta and a glass of wine :D

Gathering material to build a nest by the sounds of it.

Maybe, he might have been drying out his building materials on the tree stump.

I'm far too old for the level of enjoyment I'm getting from the 'Ruin the Band Name' thread. The toilet and smutty humour has me chortling and snorting like a 12 year old reading rude words in a dictionary. A much needed, utterly childish laugh lifting my spirits.

I felt guilty putting the oven on to cook my vegan sausages rolls,
after a quick rummage I found a handful of other products that bake at much the same time and temp.

Th, I have made the best use of the space in the over(almost overcoming the two occasions I've burned my hands)
Th2, Items just needing to defrost and be heated on the night shifts.

Edit, all out of the oven now, Indian, Veggie, Vegan, Asian, all chilling in the fridge:P

I got these new headphones with something called "noise cancelling"

Maybe some here knew all about this and had it for years but it was new for me. Forgive the noob :)

I love it! I did a lot travelling by train over the weekend and it cuts out much of the background noise. Not all of it but enough to make a much more comfortable journey. I listened to my audiobook in peace

    Noise cancelling rocks!

TH at finding out there is a Ron Burgundy podcast in existence, fantastic news to get for me, I worship that fictitious man.

And then to find out there is an Alan Partridge podcast coming out next month? Even more fantastic news!

Sitting in the car for lunch and I spot this jackdaw.
He kept taking grass and moss and was bringing it to the top of an old tree stump.
I don't know what he was doing but it looked interesting.

They are my favorite birds here, I have 3 that visit my backyard every morning for their peanuts. And all the while I have a murder of crows on the powerlines waiting their turn, heh.

I went through that whole thread this morning and I agree completely. It is a delightful source of mirth and silliness the likes of which we need more of in After Hours.

TH at feeling like a teenager again.
My Dad's incredulous response ("You're NOT going out in that!") when I told him that I was ignoring the storm warnings and going to my hairdresser and beautician appointments this afternoon. Of course, like all those years ago, he was right ... Jorge wrecked havoc with my hair as I left the salon. Still ... I won't be telling him that. Some things never change!

Did you end up like that woman on the ad who goes to the hairdresser and then a gust of wind wrecks her hairdo.

Happy in a roundabout way that a leak under the sink got me started on a much needed clear out of that cupboard... And resignedly OK that the kitchen is in a state of organised chaos as I can never finish a job in one go as I run out of steam ! …. an AH WELL moment!
